Don't care how dumb and stupid it is. Fuck Yes! Only concerns are that it looks too much like an expansion rather than a whole new title and secondly, I see no evidence of a dildo copter.

I wish they would stop trying to make the series bigger and wackier with each entry. I was happy just shooting a few people and smoking a joint en route to Freckle Bitch's.

From what I saw it looks like the city is the exact same as the previous one.

Which is disappointing to say the least.

I won't be buying it.

Yeah I completely agree. Saints Row 1 and 2 rank as some of my favourite games (in that order) not because they were "Zany and Balls to The Wall" or any shit like that. Personally I never considered 2 to be a crazy as everyone else proclaimed, maybe it seemed super crazy when compared to GTAIV. And I really didn't like the direction they took with SRTT as they ramped up the silliness but left no real context and ended up butchering the story and character development, so I always thought of it as an awful Saints Row game. It was still a very, very fun game it just didn't feel like Saints Row, a series which I have always equated with 80's and 90's action movies (dark and gritty story lines but with ridiculous chases, fight scenes and humour etc.) That being said I don't think there was a time whilst I was flying a laser beam spewing transformer, fighting a neon demon, dukes of hazarding my way through a cars front windshield to the tune of "Return of The Mack" or predator droning some well dressed European war criminals into dust that I wasn't ever smiling like a moron.

So that's what I'm trying to think of SRIV as. Not a continuation of the SR storyline as that kind of ended after 2 but just simply as a game that looks like a stupid amount of fun or at the very least will give me something to play till GTA V comes out

No

I'll probably wait until it's going for pennies on Steam, play it for 15 minutes and never look it again like I did with two and three.

Exactly what I did.

I am forcing myself to play though 3; one mission at a time. What an awful game.

I was hoping Deep Silver would correct the mistakes of SR3, but alas its become another clone, that's the trouble with them.

one mission at a time.

Those were not Missions, just crappy Diversions made to seem like Missions...

How can you say SR4 is shit, it isn't out yet

I own SR3 on 360, my friend Rojé was producer on SR2 and 3 and Red Faction, and he gave me his copy because he "couldn't stand to look at it anymore" lol

I believe it's Called Pre-Emptive, Post-Futurist Clairvoyant Wankering. I'm a victim of it's lure myself whenever the boys at Nintendo announce something.

Anyways. There's a bunch of news about how much it has advanced from SRTT and how the story is more relatable to the dramatic storylines of 2 (Aliens aside) Numerous Weapons each with a dozen or so custom models (Super Soaker Assault Rifle, Guitar Case Rocket Launcher, Aliens Style Submachine Gun Etc.) and each of these having skins (Gold Plating, Camo) over 600 clothing options with more being added to the game daily. Better Characters, options of romance, multiple activities and side quests. Not to mention SUPER POWERS.

And Terry Fucking Crews of course. So it's safe to say who one of my characters will be

Man I loved the first saints when it released, first next gen GTA styled game. It was semi serious bit at the same time it didn't take itself too serious. I mean the Simpson's road rage style physics while hitting people trying to catch them in the back of your pickup. Yea I hated the series more with each title release. Although I laughed at the flopping dildo

You know what they say. A fool and his money soon will part.

I thought the saying was "A Fool will consolidate all his debts into one, then buy a car and go on holiday"

Yup. It's pretty fucking amazing.

The first level alone is better than some games I've played

Those 12 or so minutes were better that the entire SR: The Third. Still very skeptical though, so I might rent it first to see.

I understand your hesitance and would like to alleviate all of your concerns with a short and somewhat low quality youtube video
