I have recently been watching Dawn Of The Dead (the original, the 2004 version sucked (IMO)), and I saw that they just push past the zombies with ease, and knock them down when they run. So, perhaps when you run and shove zombies, it could temporarily knock them down until they manage to pull themselves up again. Maybe the ability to knock down 2 or 3 of them at a time or in a chain would make it more appealing. When running and shoving there could be more stamina used than regular shoving, and the more zombies that are shoved at a time or in the chain, the more stamina is used, so there's some balance between them and key timing needed for its use. I think it could be useful for tight situations and objective maps, as it could help getting from place to place and give you a zombie or 2 less to worry about for the time being. I also think 2 or more regular shoves in quick succession should knock a zombie down, dead people shouldn't have a gymnast's balance. Sure it sounds like Left 4 Dead but there should be limitations, such as not being able to knock down 7-10 zombies at a time and so on. Thanks for reading.

Yeah we're concerned that would make it too easy. We've actually pondered "knock downs" before. We could always try it now that we have new "knocked down" zombie tech (already in 1.06) but we could maybe expand it to include a % chance of a knockdown when sprinting in to a zombie.. might be something worth experimenting with.. but don't count on it being in just yet.

I think it's quite a good idea, would be good for frantic 'I need to get out of here now' moments, like if you ran head on into a Zombie there'd be a chance of flattening it like Maxx said, if you hit a second this chance would be minimised along with big stamina penalties.

I'm thinking of it being 'automated' rather than pressing a key to do it along with your character 'reacting' to it (screen effects, inertia, slight disorientation in movement) after doing it.

I think it could make for some good moments and help get people out of corners but you make it impossible or harder to knock down police, military or fat zombies9 assuming you have them) to make them not just hard to kill but hard to escape from.

A rare obese zombie is actually something nobody on the team seems to want probably cause the boomer reference.

I was thinking there could be a large increase in stamina use to help balance it, so after charging down zombie or 2 in your way, you're out of breath or have low stamina, so you have to make sure there's not another conflict nearby which could lead to death. The main thing required for this is skillful timing and I think should only be used for sticky or fast-paced situations. Anyway, stamina seriously needs to be increased. I mean, I'm athsmatic and I can run much further and for longer than the player. Even with a little fatigue. I hope there's an increase in 1.07.
