Game wont lunch

I had the exact same problem on my windows 7 laptop. I had to install the latest Microsoft Direct X and it fixed it.

When I click play on steam nothing happens. What do I do?

Make sure Source SDK Base 2007 is installed in your Steam Tools tab

Make sure you've restarted Steam

Check to see if hl2.exe is running in your Task Manager after failing to start NMRiH up (if it is, kill it and try to start NMRiH back up again)

Never mind what I said, what Riley said will work. You have to install Source SDK base 2007 for NMRIH to work. When I mentioned direct x I was thinking of something else ...
