Looking good, a bit empty but I guess that will change when the corpses and blood start piling up.

Your lights look lifeless in other words the lighting sucks.

I have made some lights for you, I would like you to remove those brush based lights and replace them with these.

(The light will need tweaking of course)

The lights are models but I could replace them with that model instead and adjust the lights. I reckon tone em down. I could add some wall decor to make it less bland. Next version:

-Adjust lights

-Add more decor

-Replace basic building on other side of road with an actual place to use (will be announced with the next release)

I think he meant that the lighting itself sucked not the models (other than the fact that they look to be not inside the ceiling tiles like they should normally look) Maybe add a slow flickering light off to the corner, the wall and ceiling tiling doesn't feel right. Try adding some trim to make it look a bit more life-like.

Check the lighting example maddog posted for lighting. Using point_spotlights you can make much more aesthetically pleasing lights then you can with just a light_spot. (see below for a comparison)

They're not "true to life" fluorescent tube lamps but they'll look much more realistic than just a model with a light_spot underneath it.

Its a shame hl2 didn't come with any proper sprites which are elongated for flouros , they all are circular.

HL2 was the best back in it's day. You people expect too much out of a Valve game -_-

-The lighting is being changed

-The model is being changed

-A gun store is across the street

-Zombie spawn will be farther away so they won't easily get into the store

The things you can do to make maps look amazing is cool and actually plausible half the time so no I don't expect too much out of hl2

No, that's rather your excuse for your poorly constructed maps. Instead of fixing it after people use their time to tell you what you need to do - you make excuses instead.

I'm not saying you should quit. I realize this is likely your first map, or so, but I am just saying you should spend a bit more time, because a map like this is not worth posting.

Well, just got done playing the map and here are a few suggestions. First, allow us to barricade the alley and the doreway leading to it. Second, move the spawns further from the doors. Also, might think about removing the rain, as it causes a huge amount of lag.

you didn't listen to me in the other thread when I told you how to take screenshots :l

don't forget to take screenshots on Maxximum settings! It really makes your maps look better

These are the settings I personally use to take screenshots since they look alright [it still runs at around 80-100 FPS]:

8geXO.jpg

Using these you'll get some good screenies, also don't forget to turn off the viewmodel! Here's how you do it:

sv_cheats 1

r_drawviewmodel 0

//do these in console.

Come-on!

You can barricade the front doors the alley door and the barricade in the alley. The spawns have been moved. You must of played the original version and lower your settings. Not removing something that adds to the map just for dino computers. Without the rain the map looks emptier. It lags for you, oh well.

Hello, V2 is a nice update to the map. However there is an exploit. If you stand where I am now which is inside the ammo case the zombies will collide into each other at that position and get stuck.

Please fix it asap.

Well in V3 I will have more clips to disallow players to get god spots. I already found a few thanks to the people in the video. That's where I got all kinds of things that need fixing.

there also seems to be a missing texture in his screenshot.
