I Am Brad Pitt

Me and Joseph agreed that the zombies should form human ladders and roll around in balls and cubes and all sorts of shapes. That would be baller. Quasi-human geometry.

that and the whole being held together by feces and propelled forward by jets of feces. it's the only way for all of this to make perfect sense. they're just gobbling up everything in sight and poop is just flying through them nonstop providing unit cohesion and propulsion.

bollywood done came up in tha world! an interesting find weege and exactly what world war z would be like if the zombies had a lil bit more order. i watched the last 30 minutes of that clip...the spinning ball of death seemed to be so effective, i don't understand why he didn't stick with that instead of giant cobra and the other shit.

nah man, he's making fun of the movie trailer for world war z.

i couldn't see brad pitt doing design work for no more room in hell. although if he did it would certainly make the vent/skype team meetings a lot more interesting.

Everyone knows Xendrid's true identity is Premise "Chase" Delgado, werewolf hunter.

I'm getting too old at a young-adult age. I need to get more sleep. I CAN NOW SEE HOW EXACTLY some people get the waythey are... as in how bad: Every week has the same shit...when really you need WAY MORE sleep and better food. I tell ya: That 3-Day-Detox from Doctoroz.com IS DELICIOUS! Especially the dinner smoothie... ... NO ONE knows what they could do for themselves.

That still means... I need to take a break on some weekends and just chill and sleep... andeat healthy. u think it doesn't matter if you have a little excess weight? WAIT until you FINALLY choose to eat raw fruits and veggies in a blender, as in Doctor OZ's 3 day detox smoothie, you'll FEEL a different life!

to each its own but I don't understand why you prefer the CG zombies with a bunch of explosions over the slow walkers with drama and character development of the walking dead :P

this, IMO isn't a zombie movie

I don't give a shit about the character development of anything. I also don't consider the action that over-the-top considering the world-ending scenario that is taking place. I'm pretty sure World War 1 and 2 were fucking chaotic and horrifying as well.

I love the details, and the raw information and the global scope. I could watch a movie that had no "main characters" whatsoever and was solely about the event taking place. That's how I look at this, as long as it isn't heavy handed and ham-fisted with its family/kids/wife love story stuff.

oke, I personally love that sort of crap, where the characters in the story face moral dilemmas etc

but I guess with movies/stories it's the same as with music.. taste is subjective to a certain degree.

a movie without a main character wouldn't be interesting to me tho, unless it was some sort of documentary.. but this clearly isn't :P

I don't think I'll ever understand Maxx. He claims he loves LOST and that is all about the characters. What a hypocrite.

The only reason I am pissed about this movie, and the only reason I consider this movie to all ready be shitty is because they use the fucking name of a book and then totally disregard the text. It's a cash grab and it's going to do well because people are like WWZ yeah!

Although, I guess I can't give Maxx too much shit. Since I absolutely hated the book and thought it was the most boring book I ever read. Not to mention the copy I bought costs more than most of my other books and it happens to be the shittiest? Fuck. It's the only book that makes sense as an audio book though. I'm very against audio books I think they should only be enjoyed by blind people, but I guess they found the market for people with short attention spans and a lack of vocabulary or literary abilities in general.

Exactly. It's based on Max Mel Brooks material for fuck's sake. There's no chance that it's going to be high brow, but it might be a decent action flick. I doubt it will surprise me as much as Dredd did, but I'll give it the chance a pie-rater gives things. Coming up with high-brow zombie fiction is fucking tough though. The Walking Dead comic comes kinda close, as some of the Romero films do, but there are always inconsistencies, leaps of probability, and shit characters it seems. I think the most high brow thing I've written was the one with the erotica bit at the end.

World War Z is probably Mel Brooks' funniest comedy. Much better than his previous work.

I think if you go in expecting the world from this film, then obviously you're going to be disappointed. If you take it for what it is (an over the top CG infused action film) then you're more likely to enjoy it.

Max Brooks. Same guy, you know? Haha, I do that shit constantly. Father and son - horse shit. Same fuckin guy. Just a marketing ploy. I can't imagine why else I would slip up like that so much.

I'm glad Noobbot gets it. I do not expect another attempt at a high brow zombie movie. The issue is that with almost every traditional zombie movies no matter who is in charge or who writes it they end up falling in to the same generic tropes with the same cliche characters, scenes, and events.

I want a zombie movie that to me rivals Black Hawk Down (my favorite film of all time) it is very little if ever about the characters, it's about the EVENT taking place. The event, the scenario, is the main character of the film. The US Army, as a collective, is one character, the city of Mogadishu another, and the militia as another. Three characters in a movie starring hundreds of actors.

I look at World War Z the same way: It's a raw film about a few main characters: Surviving military forces, millions of refugees, entire nations, and hordes of zombies. Who knows, knowing Hollywood I wouldn't be surprised if it ended up being a generic zombie flick after all but I have my hopes that it will remain raw, broad, and focused on the GLOBE instead of people.

Xendrid, to address your point regarding LOST: LOST is definitely all about the characters but their never ending complexity and intertwined stories are what defined LOST. None of that has anything to do with World War Z or most other zombie films. This is why: LOST had 6 seasons over 6 years and spread over 121 episodes plus dozens of webisodes and completely interactive and in-depth ARGs. World War Z (and every zombie movie) doesn't have this shit, so I have no interest in their ham-fisted derp derp characters.
