Voice Actor

16 posts in this topic

Hi, my name is Tyler Bryan.

I am applying for a voice acting position.

I went to Oklahoma State University for a year majoring in theatre.

I have 5 years of audio/video editing skills under my belt (Adobe Audition, FL studio, Adobe Suite)

Here is my professional Air Check

I am capable of doing many accents such as:

British

Southern American

Irish

German

and of course the basic

American Broadcast

(I can also adapt, and learn an accent if need be)

And I am pretty sure you are always looking for Zombie voices, and that I can do as well!

You can contact me using the following methods:

email (tilor64@gmail.com) or pm

Thanks for considering my application!

I agree with John Xi, this guy sounds pretty good indeed. But, I don't know about the situation of need for Voice Actors. Maxx can probably say more about that.

I like him, would be nice to have more than 1 survivor voice.

Nice range and I like the production on your demo. I'd like to hear something a bit closer to what we'd be doing as far as one of the survivors is concerned. Can you record a few examples like lines that are in the game now (needing help, announcing that you're out of ammo, etc.)? Feel free to ad-lib.

Sure thing!

I will record a few for demo purposes, but if you had a script or a list of things for me to say, that would be great!

Double post

Here is some average lines done quickly just to use as an example.

This is pretty much my basic voice, but I can change it to however I am directed.

(And I can say some less cheesy lines if a script is given haha)

ALSO

This was just recorded in my room, I have access to a sound studio.

ALSO ALSO

Here is an old man type narrating voice

Although it is a cool ambiance that you've added to your audition lines, having the background sounds makes it hard to tell how clean your recording setup is. As for the performance itself, I would hope to hear a lot more fear and panic in your reads. Undead apocalypse.

Oh of course!

I will redo it, but could you perhaps give me something to read from?

I do better interpreting copy rather than just making it up as I go when it comes to serious situations.

Here is a cleaner and more frantic demo.

Hey sorry for the late reply, we've been hectically busy trying to take care of stuff for 1.06 and for Steam.

I've spoken with the sound guys and although we appreciate your application, they've concluded that your voice work has too much background noise and isn't quite what we're looking for. Thanks though and good luck!

Did they not listen to the redo I posted?

I re recorded with no ambiance, and there is no noise at all as far as static background noise.

Oh well, I guess it was worth a try at least, thanks!

And good luck to you Maxx!
