So they have had all this time and it isn't even finished? i see no point to release it yet in that case.

Why not just finish it? Like, you've waited this fucking long, just hammer out the last bit over a year or something and then release it.

Apparently Xen is going to almost be a separate game at this point.

While it would be nice to play it all in succession, it's going to take me hours just to reach there. I was never good at half life.

While it is nice to hear something (and be able to play something) from them, what were they doing for so long behind closed doors? If the game isn't done, it raises quite a few questions.

Yeah, it does raise questions.. but, those questions have been answered too, at least to some extent. For example, quite many of them have gained proper, real-life jobs from gameindustry, which takes their time and energy from working on mod-project.

I know one of the mappers and I'm happy to hear that their team's finally releasing their mod to the public, it looks pretty well made

And it's sort of silly to make fun of how long they took to make their mod when you can look back at this mod and remember how long it took to release Beta 1.0 :P

Yeah I'm wondering why everyone here is raggin on Black Mesa because they took so long to make it, but NMRIH took ages to make as well.

My problem was the mod acted like it was dead for so long. As far as I am aware, most people even forgot what it was all about after the years.

Again, just voicing what's there.

Their probably just jealous it's more likely to get greenlighted than NMRIH.

Their what is jealous?

It's good to see them releasing.. the other 2004-era vaporware (alongside NMRiH :P) to actually get released!

For those of you who were expecting amazing changes, it's pretty much just Half Life 1 in HD

Still pretty fun, but the amount of fun you'll get is solely based on if you enjoyed HL1
