Or the time when Chubaka crashed a tractor and was unconscious and bleeding badly so we had to go and rescue him.

I just got this game, I have no idea what I'm doing.

I'd like to play with you guys sometime, I have no intention of killing NMRIH members.

That is the video that convinced me to buy ARMA 2 for Day Z.

Just tell me what server you'll be on ;)

Operation Flashpoint: Cold-War Crisis 2: ARMA: Armed Assault 2: Operation Arrowhead: Combined Operations.

Get it right, or get out.

Operation Flashpoint: Cold war crisis

Operation Flashpoint: Redhammer

Operation Flashpoint: Resistance

(Also other obscure semi-official expansions that I saw in bargain bins at my local game years and years ago).

Arma: Armed assault + expansion packs I never bought

Arma 2

Operation Arrowhead + DLC's

And all that VBS training tool Jazz.

Bluehawk, you've just been outdicked.

I need help, I selected my server and started up the game, but when I get to the loading screen it just stops at the end of it, I have to go back to desktop. I've played both Arma 2 and the expansion, so that isn't the problem.

DayZ is a fun mod... but it probably has one of the most RAGE-INDUCING playerbase/communities I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. :/

Too much spawn camp, not enough healing items not to mention the fact that to heal you need another player, and considering how a good 90% of the players are KOS...

Not to mention, worst engine choice of the century. Even worse than trying to make a zombie game on Source....

Oh wait..

This is that guy's channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/SirExzib It's crazy how many different videos there are of him going this, it's pretty cool.

Ha nice, thanks.

Honestly DayZ is great, but it was more of a trial to see if it would work. The Arma engine is shit yes, but it has the perfect features in place for this type of game. With a standalone game it will be great as long as they keep it off consoles.

Not to mention, worst engine choice of the century.

Had a few friends tell me that. I agree with them.

I got day z recently with the arma steam sale, and i have to be honest its just pissing me off, i join, run around for almost an hour and then just die from a zombie/survivor, and i thought nmrih was unforgiving, perhaps im missing the point of the game, do i need a group of willing players to play with or something?

I'd love to offer pointers but I was never killed by anything other than glitches. It may be a more stable build now but...yeah, I seriously doubt it. I'd consider getting the standalone game if you don't fall through buildings or break your legs climbing a staircase.

I really wanted to like it though. The potential was there.

DayZ was good the first couple months before it started getting insanely popular.

Then everyone learned that shoot on sight was the way to go even if someone was completely unarmed. Too many people helped other players only to have them axe them to death or some shit.

Then the hackers came. Also, the third person camera and server hopping abuse was a big load of shit. (I know there's hardcore servers, but they're no where near as popular)

I used to play with a group of guys but the bugs like tents/vehicles/weapons dissappearing etc made any form of in-game progression pretty much worthless at the time. I think most of that's been fixed now though.

It's a great game in theory and it'll definitely get your blood pumping when shit starts to go down but most people i've played with have stopped playing after having their final "fuck this game" moment.

My friend used to be pretty hardcore in it. Back when most of the helicopter spawns were around Polana people used to camp the open fields with .50 cals. (Vid related, it's him hunting down some redditor)

The guy that got shot in the video even made a post on Reddit about it which is pretty funny.http://www.reddit.com/r/dayz/comments/w7uet/so_i_just_lost_my_23day_old_character_on_seattle/
