Hi!

Incase you would have noticed, when playing NmRiH, shooting at objects such as mirrors do not break accordingly to real life standards. I would suggest having small details like that to be added to the game to improve immersiveness :D Of course this should be revised when major upgrades to the game are made! Thanks for reading.

Post on this topic for further interest!

too hardcoded, source limitations are the problem. specially the mirror is already tied as an entity and you can't give it breaking options. You can create a few breakable entities out of every brush, but that limit is reached quick.

Hi!

I'm sure the crew could outline the shape of the (mirror*, window* ect.*) to go with the wall then put the breakable objects*inside the outline area so that when you would finally break the object (ex: Mirror) the mirror would crack and or shatter leaving the outline as detail that a mirror was there before someone would have smashed it.

breakable environments is not really something we are aiming for

Breakable environnement doesn't need to be overkill, only some objects that you would be sure that with the right tool, would be able to break it. Some people like destruction and a simple upgrade in that line of idea could greatly increase NmriH gamers. Like I said, this could be a side project which means that it would come 2nd to primary objectives.

I would love to see breakable walls in the official maps, especially with the survival gamemode, If they can create fitting zombie AI that seek breakable surfaces. It would be amazing.

I know it's doable, I have created breakable walls myself, but there was always a problem with the static lighting, it would always shine through, and make the breakable brushes too obvious, that coupled with the fact that I have never seen any npc's use breakable walls without scripted events, seems they would be unlikely.

Breakable barricades are nice (including walls), but I don't really see the point in being able to smash everything. I mean, I do see the point, I just don't think it's high priority. At all.
