trust me, dont listen to those fools, dont even know how they got hired to review stuff. The texture work isnt that good, but it will do, they were most likely reviewing the xbox version, as we know... console fags prefer graphics over gameplay, which the gameplay is awesome, the single player needs to be enjoyed with 3 or more friends over skpe, as for what the reviewers say, there nit picking shit, shit that doesnt need to be mentioned and turning it negative, slapping a low score on it because it makes there dicks hard. (or gearbox didnt pay them for a good review) Fuck them, go with your instincts, if your a fan of aliens, you wont be disaponited.... if not, then this game isnt for you. The only thing that they have the right to be negative about, and i fully support them is that there are no dedicated servers, massive fail on there end.

Worth buying? I've read some fairly negative things which is always a sign it'll soon go on sale for half price or something.

Not at $60, no

I donno man, the game already looked pretty bad from the E3 2012 demo, and this review backs up my feelings (granted, it's Sessler but he's been around for a while and without G4 messing his shit up :P )

Yeh, the only review that made think 'maybe i'll like it' was this one:

http://www.guardian.co.uk/technology/gamesblog/2013/feb/12/alien-colonial-marines-game-review

See those four stars above this review? I fully expect to receive a right royal kicking in the comment section below this article for that rating.

he score rating rests on is whether or not the person writing consistently enjoyed the game they were covering – and on that scale, Aliens Colonial Marines is a success. It actually feels like a product out of time; one of those scrappy FPS games mid-tier publishers could boot out between Triple-A titles back in the day, when Metacritic didn't exist and a studio wasn't shut down if the game they made failed to sell a bajillion copies.

I haven't played it so i can't say for sure, but to me there does seem to be a fair bit of bandwagon jumping.

So here is a really short reveiw from my inpressions of the game.

Lets start with the singelplayer, the singelplayer for me was actually pretty good not the way i expected but i was able to really live into the whole atmosphere of the game and get scared a few times.

The coop is pretty fun to play it has it's moments.

But the multiplayer is my favorite part of the game.the survivor gamemode feels pretty tense and fun on the same time team deathmatch likewise. I diden't really like extermination that much only played it once though. Esacpe mode was also good have only been able to play that once aswell with huge lag but yeah....

AHAHAHA! The "blind alien" in the video looks like a retard impersonating a velociraptor.

Yeah 0:16-0:30 kind of perfectly describes this game. A retarded inbred having a spasticated bowel movement that inadvertently causes a shit stained self abortion of an incestuous rape baby.

There's a fucking review* for y'all.

*also a pretty bitching death metal album cover

Figured I do a video playthrough Solo of the Aliens: Colonial Marines dlc Bughunt

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZzVJVl0Ekjg

Some things I didn't address:

  • Each "stage" of the map can be accessed via a credit system (ala Nazi Zombies) with each new stage being more expensive than the previous, requiring team work to access a new area (as some are within the $14000 to $25000 mark
  • You can give other players $100 (useful to access new areas)
  • Enemies give $100 by default, the tougher variants give a small bonus in addition to the $100 earned
  • Each stage contains hidden locked areas that can be hacked and opened for a price, revealing weapons, health, armor and ammo
  • Certain areas which feature windows can be shut for a time, at the cost of $250
  • You can purchase Turrets, generally for $1000 each all of which can be repaired and resupplied for $250. Each stage, generally has anywhere between 3-4 turrets in a map hidden inside crates and locked areas. They can be moved and placed at the players discretion.
  • Each Resupply point (Armor, health, Ammo, Special Ammo) has a maximum of 4 uses before it is depleted, Smartguns have a maximum of 2 and RPG's 4
  • Suppressors act as the games nukes, destroying all enemies within an area of effect and reducing the number of enemies overall
  • All enemies increase in toughness as the waves increase, Level 20 and above for instance can have Drones take almost an entire 60 rounds from a pulse rifle with extended magazines or a full 8 shots from a Tactical Shotgun to down. Explosives become less effective, acting merely as Stun grenades for most enemies
  • Enemies have a line of sight and proximity based spawn chance, an enemy can spawn behind you if you step outside outside the range of the proximity mark while not having line of sight to the area, however only a small number of enemies will spawn (IE enemies will spawn behind you on occassion)
  • Enemies spawn in any location that is readily accessible by the player, so if you open a locked up area and leave that area, enemies will spawn there
  • There are no flamethrowers (to my knowledge) on any of the maps currently, only the RPG and Smartgun remain
  • The RPG is only useful in the early levels against groups of weak enemies, as the explosive power is diminished greatly at later rounds
  • The Smartgun is extremely useful throughout but runs through ammo much more quickly in later rounds
  • The Turrets are sometimes necessary to give you the breathing room in the later rounds, as they provide 500 rounds for Machine Gun fire with only a $250 refill and repair

They removed the only mode I was interested in to add it as DLC later. I am running out of companies to hate.
