Am I the only one that thinks CS:Go is a step down from CS:Source? There is literally no point in buying this if you own the latter, if you want to vary things up just dl some custom weapon skins.

The actual weapons in CS:GO seem far less well made and less satisfying to use, seriously, why buy this?

I think the weapons in GO are of far better quality and are a LOT more satisfying to use than in Source.

Also, that trailer was terrible, I expect far better from Valve's video team!

Too bad the game doesn't look that good. Or play that good. If you didn't know what CS was and you saw this crappy trailer, you would think "Oh, it's a tactical shooter." - which is absolutely not what CS is if you all hadn't figured that out years ago.

Well, that's too bad man. Valve claims it's their best "cinematic launch trailer". Lol hahaHAHA!

HaHAha what?

What are you smoking??????

Seriously what drugs are you on?

Source was a pile of shit honestly. CS:GO is the first CS aside from the original back in the day [when it still had a training level and less AWP whores!!] that I enjoy. The movement feels much better to me. I'm not headshotted 24/7 and I can actually get a positive K/D.

And

There aren't as many Dust2 servers anymore!!

I thought the trailer was good. At least it isn't like CoD trailers where its just EXPLOSION EXPLOSION EXPLOSION PREORDER NOW!

i played the shit out of cs:source and was part of the east coast gamers and some of the most fun i had in a fps was in cs:s. so i don't think it was utter shit, just my opinion. saying a game is shit because you can't get a positive k/d is an interesting point to make. it had some rather uh...interesting i guess is a good word to use, aiming mechanics. but once you learn them, everything else just kinda falls into place.

my question is...bunny hopping in cs:go, yes or no?

No, and I'm happy about it. Valve has fixed that bug a long with the awp reloading glitch. CS:GO works like a dream, and plays great. It's the first time that I can enjoy a CS title with my decent skill level.

Having played it some more, it's grown on me a bit but I still stand by my original opinion, not really a great step up from CS: Source and a bit overpriced. There's just something about the animations that almost seems 'moddish' to me for some reason (they just look and feel really elongated) can't quite put my finger on it.

My thoughts exactly. It took some getting used to but was very fun once you did (I remember there being mass furory over how 'different' it felt to the original CS, but once you got used to it, very fun) and yeh, saying a games bad because you were bad/not instantly amazing at it is just ridiculous.

Also, I WANT TACTICAL INTERVENTION.

It's installing right now. I played the beta for an hour last night, and I swear, that single beta alone made me change my pants 5 times. I wonder if I'll need a whole new set of clothes from the real game... Ariel_I_CAME.jpg

I don't know, $15 is pretty good considering that Valve doesn't really milk the shit out of the CS franchise (5 year void between CS to CSS not counting Xbox/Condition Zero, 8 year void from CSS to CSGO) and they tend to keep supporting their games with patches and content updates

I personally like it mainly because it provides a better "Vanilla CS" experience straight from the get go with the matchmaking/server stuff; it's nigh impossible for me to find a Stock CS1.6 server with 16 players or less that isn't in Brazil or China, or finding Stock servers that don't force me to download silly models or 5000 sound files with $16k starting money in CSS

I usually play this with Dman757, Maxx, Brent, Stabbity, and others and we get some pretty fun moments

So...because you suck at Source it was/is shit? ...Bulletproof logic there

Also I liked the trailer too, it was cinematic AND it told a story something that 99.9% other trailers fail to do

my question is...bunny hopping in cs:go, yes or no?

The bunny hopping nerf in CSS is terrible why can't I jump more than once without my character collapsing to the ground wheezing?

No, I just don't want to spend dozens of minutes of my limited free time trying to find a legit server without bots; it was fine in 1998, not so much in 2012

Jesus christ, CS in 1998. I remeber getting into it after playing really early versions i'd gotten from magazine cover CD's with a 56k modem (along with other random-Half life mods) random maps that seemed to disapear like Tundra and Oil_rig. THE NOSTALGIA.

I'd like to see how everyone play (cause I think I'm decent). Maybe we should all get together and have a big match. :D

I used to play CS "professionally" in CAL-I and while that was tons of fun it also turned me off of competitive gaming for a long time (I still don't totally enjoy competitive gaming as a result) ... when I got back in to CS with CSS I only played for fun and refused to play in leagues anymore. I'm not nearly as good as I used to be very good at the game (scores like 180/15 became common for me near the end of my "career") now I mostly just break even, give or take a few. I'm not what I used to be.

That being said, wtf why am I not invited to play CSGO with you guys wtf

you are welcome to play with me and sota, with your high ping on our EU servers you could be an untouchable distraction while sota and me pick them off one by one.
