Audio position

Hi, I am known as sverek.

I am applying to be a sound guy (sound producer, audio engineer, whatever you call it).

I was introduced by Paladin to apply for team, since it looks like this mod needs help on audio scale.

Why you need me?

- because you probably want your mod to sound awesome.

What can I do for you?

- Record/mix/fix/loop/etc... any task regarding sound. I don't have much experience on music though.

- Experience working in hammer, so I can put sound in map, write a script and get it playing.

- any other scripts that have something to do with sound/voices.

When I can work on the mod?

- any time on weekends, and as far as there clear goal in development.

How I work on sounds?

- I have my own sound library, that I've been recording for 3 years now. But I usually record requests, to make sound unique and more accurate.

Specs:

- TASCAM DR-07

- HD 595

- Xonar DG

- Adobe Audition cs 5.5

Projects I worked/working on:

-Dystopia (lead sound production)

-Blade Symphony (lead sound production)

-PVKII (sound production)

-Operation Lambda (sound production)

Looking forward to hear if there any sound field, where I can help you.

p.s. oh, I forgot... for good measure.

How are you with things like firearm sounds? Not just gunshots, but all the mechanical sounds to go with them?

Do you think you could take some VA recordings and edit them in to awesome sounding zombies?

- Firearms is a bit of a problem. I don't have guns in Japan, so I have to get around the problem and explode something to make it sound like shooting or just get source somewhere, that would sound more like it. I can handle it either way.

- As for mechanical parts, it all about details, so I can handle it.

- Regarding VA zombies, I was brushing/cleaning/boosting/applying effects on all voices lines (1500+ sound files) that in PVKII right now. If needed, I can give a try and do actual voice acting, if variations needed. So I don't think I'll have problems with it.

finally weekends!

I didn't play your mod, so I don't know the feel of it and which sounds could fit in. Anyway, I quickly made grain footsteps, since I didn't hear in footsteps sounds in game on youtube.

As for weapons impacts, I need some time to record bunch of metallic impacts and put them together. If you want me to make specific sound, shoot.

Well if you want to do a test of zombie sounds... we need someone who can edit together some awesome zombie sounds. If yo uwant to do the Va yourself and then edit on top of that to show what you can do, that would be awesome. Take a look at most of our gameplay videos and hear the zombies we've already got. I like the sounds we have, we just need more and more variation.

Lets see what you've got :)

had some fun recording. Might sound like drunk russian... zombie, drunk russian, same thing. Strong language included, so better keep it down.

Can't help much to improve mah va.

Swarm zombie sounds... I think it rather would be easier to control via soundscape + code. And get 3 different swarm sounds.

The zombie samples sounds awesome.

I don't know about the z-talk files though, mabye it bothers me because zombies aren't capable of talking in most of the movies/books. However they could be used for for the survivors that are about to transform to a zombie i guess but anyhow, nice work!

Couldn't help myself, after listening to those Ztalk files, the first thing that came to mind was this guy:

Good stuff man, glad to see another addition to the team!
