Glowing/Flaming Text writing?

9 posts in this topic

I created my siguature writing with Photoshop CS5 but I would like to either make the writing glow or turn it into flaming writing as a gif. I looked at a youtube tutorial on how to create flaming writing

whereby I have to rasterize each letter but I came across errors with it.

What software do you use/is best for creating gifs and what is the best way to make this type of writing animate?

If you have problems with Photoshop, GIMP is the only easy way then

Yeah true enough, GIMP IS an alternative after all. It's not bad, I was just like if you have CS5 in front of you then you shouldn't be having any problems (I'm stuck with CS3).

Downloading GIMP is not the solution since I will have to learn from scratch on how to use it. I just want to know the method to doing these two things using Photoshop CS5.

Can u post a pic of what u did or what u want to achieve? I've sigs and avatars turned off, since most of them are animated and it really annoys me.

All I want to do is just make the writing glow as a gif and in the future learn how to do flaming text in a simple and understanding way. I have tried before and I am still improving

my skill with Photoshop CS5 but I have not done any animating yet.

The only way to do it nice is to find some footage of burning fire and then compose it in After Effects. But it's not a simple solution for sure)

For a static picture u can easily use some kind flames from cgtextures.
