Zombie suggestions

Both ideas WOULD BE WONDERFUL... in the BEST moment(s) possible.

You don't know how funny it is to play the first Zombie Panic and of ALL the regular people who play, someone who paid money comes along with their chosen player model and excites everyone with such extravaganza. He/she could've been an anime girl, Gumby(from a children's show), Santa Claus, some famous actor,... IT GOES ON AND ON how many different models showed up on Zombie Panic!

Imagine playing NMRiH... then maybe on a special day from the administrator, comes along MAn-Bear-Pig! A slightly larger zombie in width and takes more shots... RUNNING all the way down the hall in .... CABIN and we're spending time gunning it down and maybe running, as if it's the tank... but it's definitely AND REALISTICALLY: WEAKER.

I HATE VIDEO GAMES WITH "HARD DIFFICULTY" BUT BECOMES UNREALISTICALLY RIDICULOUS WITH STRONGER ENEMIES; THAT'S NOT HARD; THAT'S OBNOXIOUS! I DON'T SUPPORT VIDEO GAMES like that, but ones that are difficult by REALISM... (which goes LONG ways... lol) are actually more fun. I just love how in Perfect Dark 64 in Perfect Agent(the hardest difficulty), you can kill the enemies still very quickly, but they can kill you, too, very quickly.

Hmmm, that art that was made for the game with the zombie/psycho with the machete, something like that would be great.

EDIT: PS I love that art.

I like the Tragic Death concept. Kinda, if pulled of correctly, puts the zombie in a sad light. Perhaps the 'Tragic Death' zombies could be semi-map specific and clue in the survivors about a potential environmental threat? The most obvious 'Tragic Death' would be a burn victim zombie.

Tragic Deaths:

-Burned Victim-

Charred terribly. Muscles and bone reveal themselves along with welts, festering and decaying. The intense flames have melded this middle aged woman's clothing to her body.

Never a fast zombie.

-Improper Suicide-

A bullet is sometimes a blessing. In this case it was almost a blessing. A jaw hangs agape and a large exit wound to the back of the neck reveals that this person had an amazing amount of luck. All vertebrae left intact. Shame they didn't want that. (Carries a gun <empty?> in hand maybe?)

-Homeless Veteran-

A young man who served the country valiantly. Went through hell and came back a changed man. Changed as in PTSD. Before the outbreak he was going on his third month of homelessness, skinny, unshaven, and in rags. Behaves erratically in death... perhaps a vestige of an altered mind? Dog tags around his neck, and a small duffle bag on back.

speaking of something similar; maybe the devs could eventually add crazy people in the game? Like the survivor models but with NPC AI that cause them to scream and fire at you and zombies (they would also attract zombies to themselves) could be a blessing or a curse, depending on the situation, location and if they spot you or not.

would only happen once in a blue moon, naturally.

The detainee, like that idea. If one of his arms was seperated from the elbow/shoulder but still attatched to his other hand via the handcuff, which would swing at the player when it went to grab you, ultimate long range zombie.

Yes! I don't want to shoot at cats too! and nazi zombies? why do not stab living nazis? what about that:

zombies can vomit at you when they grab you, then you will become a zombie too!

DEAD ARMS.

Dead arms are runners or shamblers that still have their weapon in there hands. they deal slightly more damage than normal (half there normal melee damage plus the melee damage of the weapon.)

I personally don't think that this is realistic in a zombie apocalypse, because even if a survivor died while holding on to his weapon, unless it was duct taped/glued to his hand, the zombie would drop it the second it started walking, because it doesn't have the mental capacity to hold on to the weapon and use it as such. I mean think about it, from the perspective of the brain, it takes a WHOLE lot of hand-eye coordination to effectively use a weapon.

But to add on to this suggestion, I think that it should be possible for some zombies to have weapons on their body, like a survivor carrying extras.

For instance, a police officer turned zombie would still have his pistol holstered and a tazer on his belt (not that the tazer would do anything...).

A regular survivor turned zombie would have loads of ammunition, melee weapons, or guns on him, depending on his play style.

This would be a cool addition.

Another concern/suggestion that I have is the damage zombies do on melee attacks. I think it's kind of ridiculous to be annihilated by a pimp-slap, don't you?

A possible fix around this is that since the zombie doesn't have the mental capacity to pick and choose how they swing their arms in an attack, you make the damage they deal dependent on how they swing their arm. For instance, pimp-slaps deal less damage than claw swings, and roundhouse claw swings deal more damage than underhand/overhead.

Yet another idea that I had is the possibility of defective weapons/jamming.

Obviously the chance for this would have to be low or the game would be ruined, but in a real zombie apocalypse, unless you're there from day one, most if not all of the weapons scavenged would have already been used by another survivor. This adds a random chance that your trusty machete might break on a zombie's head, or your reliable .45 Revolver has a dud bullet when your back is to the wall.

An even crazier addition to this is that the firearm misfires, causing damage to yourself and destroying the firearm completely. Take a look at this video.

This should obviously be an EXTREMELY low chance to happen, but just imagine the feeling you'll get when you're completely surrounded and your one last hope for survival explodes in your hands..... I believe this image would perfectly describe what I would feel.

ALSO, I think that the option to commit suicide should be available at the expense of one bullet.
