Well, depends if you have reanimate memorized in your spell book.

I didnt think zombies where terminators, once you shoot the hell out of them i'm pretty sure they are going to fall to the floor dead :P

I'll assume he means a teammate who has finally succumbed to the infection. I'd imagine (and prefer) that they just all of a sudden turn into zombies. It wouldn't be as scary if they fell to the ground, alerting teammates, and then rose to feast on their brains. It would be more surprising if they just all of a sudden turned and got you while you weren't looking.

If this happens, I highly suggest they puke blood onto a nearby (a few steps away) teamate as its happening (28 days/weeks later ftw!!) No, but seriously this would be fucking awesome, and it should only happen once, when they turn, so there does't have to be special zombies or whatever for this to be possible.

The original plan was to have the player drop dead on the group and then rise up as a runner zombie after a few seconds. During the death (due to infection) the player's camera would enter 3rd-person mode and pan around their corpse, and focus on them when they stood up as a zombie before switching to the nearest living player.

Of course as animating from a ragdoll collapse is out of the question the collapse would have to be a canned animation. I'm sure people wouldn't be too keen on that, but as it's only involved with death from infection it's not going to be as obvious than if it were applied to the zombies themselves.

That said, having a player "turn" while still standing has its own benefits. Keep in mind the amount of damage a runner could cause by suddenly appearing in the midst of players may be troublesome, to say the least.

Dropping dead and then reanimating would be more like the movies. And turning on the spot just seems somehow stupid. How about when you just die from other reasons then infection? Do you turn into a zombie then? Caus if you would it would be cool. But maybe just as a plain shambler then? And I don't know how hard it would be to code but if you get shot in the head by friendly fire then you wouldent reanimate. Oh and how about if you get shot somewhere else then the head when you are infected? Or killed by zombies? Do you still drop dead and reanimate?

You should give people some warning lol. I could see it now. A 13 year old boy just got picked on in school and decides to screw with people playing NMRIH by getting infected running into a room barricading the only way out to no end, and just stand near the nearest survivor until he just randomly turns. So aka i think they should either pause and you hear the weapons drop or they drop to the ground and then come back.

I would piss myself if my teamate just randomly turned and started killing me.

But there's already going to be warnings isn't there? You can hear them turning or something. I like the idea of them turning all of a sudden. Because it's kind of like they have a slowly ebbing humanity and once they're more beast than human they give into the growing temptations of tasting flesh.

I really hope that survivors turning into zombies is intense enough so that the fresh zombie has a good chance of infecting someone (Via bite or blood puking). I seriously think that a projectile blood puking would make the 'turning' process way more gruesome and dangerous.

I have played every MP Source game, actually.

I find that people err on the side of caution, especially when it allows them to be a cock to someone else.
