Call of Duty 4

There was a lot of hype surrounding this game and I'm here to justify much of it. I'll start with the strong points.

The graphics are quite good, a definite leap in the right direction. I could not find one flaw, except for maybe the RPG smoke trails, they looked sort of like cardboard if inspected closely with many sharp edges and not enough volume. But that's hardly a complaint. Everything is smooth and looks extremely realistic, from animations to the standard skimask terrorist. Everything carries that new HD sheen, but it's not overdone. All the characters look like actual human beings and move like them too. The animations are brilliant. Your AI allies and enemies will slide into cover, stumble and trip, blindly fire in fear, and run with completely believable animations. It certainly convinces you of their humanity. Of course the graphics aren't anywhere close to photorealistic, but that's a lofty goal for any game in this time period. But in the looks department this game is easily the best out of anything out there. The environments are littered with objects that help immersion set in and each is beautifully rendered. I honestly don't know how to describe the graphics, they are awe inspiring for the first while.

The audio however is a mixed bag. The voice acting is done very well. The gunshots though sound like your playing airsoft and firing bb guns. They are perhaps the worst sounds to ever grace the barrel of a digital weapon. An explosion of gunpowder that propels a bullet at devestating speeds does not sound like a pen being tapped on a desk. But in this game it does. The general sounds of chaos on a battlefield are impressive though. There's not much to stay about the audio other than above average voice acting and garbage sounding guns.

The gameplay is also a mixed bag. Some parts are so refreshing and new to the genre that they will shock you, but you will enjoy the hell out of them, but some parts are just mediocre bulletfests. The level design is quite amazing though, and no objective will be boring. From attacking a building in complete darkness to fighting in a brutalized desert town they mix up the combat and locales enough to keep it interesting. The guns handle well and the difficulty is perfect, with something for everyone. Veteran being for those extreme hardcore types and regular or easy for those just along to enjoy the ride. You can survive an immense number of bullets before having to seek cover and the enemies only take a few to dispatch, however they are plentiful. Almost too plentiful. Of course your teammates are utterly useless, failing to eliminate even the most obvious threats and basically dying over and over again. You know except for those vital to the story. They are invincible. It's hilarious to see a grenade go off right at there feet then watch them stumble and trip then keep running and fighting as if nothing had happened. Overall though the gameplay is solid and quite exciting at times. The game however is quite short and if you play well on a lower difficulty you can have it beat within a day. There is very little replay value in the game as it is linear and most of it is based on cinematic gameplay, which gets old the second time.

Overall I'd give it 7 inches out of 10. So it's of slightly above average length. (I'm referring to penis')

P.S. I wrote this at 1:30 in the morning, so it's not that good. I'll probably update it in a day or two.

COD 4? I only really played the Zombie part of it. I like it but could be so much more. If they are going to make a zombie side, might as well make it all the way like that arcade game I played but FPS.

Arcade game I can't remember, no the awesome de-animator (just click to shoot), but this:

You're on a balcony and the zombies you kill give you credits and how fast you kill them... or where you shoot them or something. As you go, the zombies get stronger and faster. I ended up purchasing land mines all on the field of the mansion, barbed wire, sandbags, wood, everything to protect the mansion from entry at the end. As yuou go, you unlock things you can use like those sandbags and barbed wire and M16 or magnum... I actually liked the magnum; I kept it for a long time. It was the M16 I needed.

Anyways, at one point, an armored military zombie comes up and it's hard to kill or a devil zombie, extremely hrd to kill... so muhc unrealistic health.. I guess.

Anyawys, if COD4 looks like it is "on the verge" of something extra and fun, it should have had it. It was a little too cheap, even though it was fun and replayable.
