We do have M67 hand grenades. They will be next to impossible to acquire.

What about.. homemade bombs?

What about.. homemade bombs?

Would be even cooler if you had to find the components and combine them to make a homemade bomb.

example you find: Pipe+Fuse+Gun Powder and combine them to make a Pipebomb

However that would probably be too hard to implement but it would be cool.

We had enough of that combination nonsense in RE.

But IEDs in general would be an excellent, believable addition. They wouldn't take much coding, either - the same base code as hand grenades, only less (or more) potent, and would for all intents and purposes be hand grenades with a different model and skin. Eskill, your idea is a good one.

IEDs for NMRIH 1.2!

I like this idea I mean you could make a bomb... all you need is some wiring, a method to blow.... it... up......... I'll stop now....

Besides Molotov Cocktails, anyone could make a pipe/nail bomb (or similar explosive) out of every day materials. You could litterally make bombs in your own backyard.

While I like the idea of combining items to make these bombs, it would be time consuming for the mod and would be better to have pre-made bombs at first, allowing people to make them later in further patch releases perhaps.

My motto for creating pipe bombs, the simpler it is, the better it is. Bombs don't need to be overly complicated to work, all you really need is a few odds and ends and you have a perfectly thrown explosive.

For starters lets go with the some pistols.

A S&W Revolver would be wonderfull

image001.jpg

One of those.

If that isnt good a Colt Detective Special will do the cake.

detective_special.gif

Like this one

Damage:3 bullets to kill normal zombies.

Ammo:Pistol ammo

Reload time:Mediocre

Firerate:Mediocre

Recoil:Kinda big

Takes 6 bullets.

Its a fairly usefull weapon. It acts like a pistol.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

For a magnum a Colt "Python" would do that cake

Like this one.

Marui_Colt_Python_357mag_6inch.jpg

Damage:1 to kill normal zombies.

Ammo:Magnum ammo (du'h)

Reload time:A little slow

FireRate:Mediocre

Recoil:Big

Takes 6 bullets and is a very power full revolver.

Hard to find.Only 2 out of 20 get this weapon

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Another choice for the pistol would be the Original 9mm HS2000 pistol

hs-xd-3.jpg

Capacity:10 bullets

Damage:6-7 to kill normal zombie.

Reload time:Normal

Firerate:Very Fast

Recoil:Normal

Fast but a little heavy and not that powerfull.Still a unigue weapon.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A HK MP-5KA4 .I dont actually reccomend a gun like this

hk_mp5ka4.jpg

A model like this would be good.

Damage:8-10 to kill normal zombie.

Capacity:25 or 30 bullets.You choose

Reload:A little slow but normal.

Firerate:Fast

Recoil:A little big.

I dont recomend this weapon because its a sub machine gun and may not match the look or feel of the game.Still if it works it will be a really good weapon.

Thats all...

1 bullet to the head = death.

No matter which gun is used.

Haven't you seen any zombie films at all?

you as a person can bleed to death no matter where you are shot, zombies however only dies when their brains are destroyed.

But you can waste bullets if you want to slow them down.

of course i did, but not all of them are the same, let's take dawn of the dead and 28 days later for an example (even through they're not exactly zombies in 28 days later, they're infected) in dawn of the dead, headshots only, shots slow them down, 28 days later, die like anything else

there are also a lot of crappy zombie movies i don't bother watching

Zombie is usually used as a term to describe the living dead. Well, atleast in western pop culture, especially films. In 28 days later the infected are very much alive, unlike Romero's zombies. As we all know the deal there is to shoot them in the head and that's the difference between the two, more or less.

We need one of those Duck Hunting shotguns that are always painted in that hunter type camo, they seem to always be at the gunstore.

Indeed; I also say we need a blowtorch. Just because... well, it's a blowtorch.

28 days/weeks later they were not zombies, the were infected with a rage virus, they were not deceased like cammon romero zombies. which is why they died like us humans

Pistol ammo? It's different....380 ACp, 9mm Luger, .45 ACP and more... ,rev: .38 Special, .357 MAgnum, and more... It's bad idea "pistol ammo" for all pistols. You make arcade from survival...For example i can use .38 Special for Colt detective special... No: I can use pistol ammo for colt detective special, colt python and for Beretta M9 or CZ75...You can't using .38 Special or .357 Magnum for example CZ75 or beretta M9...Both using 9mm Luger...ůGreat idea is box with 9mm Luger, box with .380 ACP,...

I think the Winchester 1894 is already planned.

The Winchester 1901 however would not be a good idea IMO because its not all that common/popular anywhere besides Australia(pump actions are illegal).

Those shotguns are considered more as Antiques than actual firearms. NMRIH is going more for common guns and the gun for everyman that you usually can find in gunshops.

I think some Survivor's should be able to use Aerosol Flamethrowers against Zombie's as an improvised weapon, it doesn't kill them right away but keep it on them enough and they catch a light and are set on fire as a result.

Improvised weapons in general I think are a must. Things like a makeshift spear made from a long pole and a knife or a screwdriver attached to one end, with either string, duck tape, glue? It doesn't hold too well for long periods but it's got a reach and you could easily puncture a head or two if used right. I guess you could also use it as a melee weapon for getting past gaps in barricades.

As for regular firearms, perhaps a S&W Model 10 in .38 calibre with a small 2.5inch barrel

m10c.jpg

And perhaps a Rossi 410 Single Shot Shotgun

rossi410.jpg

I'm sure you've already got a Ruger Mini-14 planned to be added I'm sure, I mean next to the 10/22 it's pretty common isn't it?

We tried this with a few but all of the camo patterns such as Mossy Oak and others all come out as unattractive colored noise when viewed in perspective in the game.

the fire created by something like this would not destroy flesh fast enough to really do any decent damage....unless of course zombies are afraid of fire, but i don't really think they should be afraid of fire. it's not like they're afraid of heights or inflicting damage upon themselves. i never really got why romero had his zombies recoil in fear from fire outside of the fact that the original movie is so old that's just how the fuck they rolled back in the day.

on the flip side i think zombies that are on fire should do more damage to you and have the chance to set you on fire for a bit until you get time to put it out....while fighting zombies.

Yeah, the burning fat pops wildy from the burning zombie which burns us.

Btw, if you are able to make burning zombies, shouldn't our melee weapons catch on fire as well? Because i'd love to smash faces with a burning baseball bat.

Versus a naked Zombie it wouldn't do much damage but think of what will happen to a clothed zombie, they easily catch on fire. Try burning a piece of cloth with an Aerosol flamethrower and see how easily it catches alight. But I mean if fire doesn't really do much damage in the first place, what's the point of having Molotov Cocktails?

We aren't planning Molotovs immediately, and in technical terms a Molotov cocktail is more dangerous because of its greater heat, volume, burn time and method of spread (liquid instead of gas).
