What the hell is a "generic rifle"

Presumably an unscoped bolt action 'Hunting' rifle.

I have actually considered both of those things.

It'd be a good move in my opinion, having a light on the MP5 would probably make it one of the most sought after weapons in-game.

Browning high power (Uses 9MMs)

Black-Diamond-Viper-Ice-Axe.jpg Ice pickaxe

I've already suggested the ice pickaxe tool in 1.07 wishlist, page 1, The Walking Dead's wiki weapons both guns and melee types. It's really up to Maxx if he is going to add these in the mod or not. It'll be an excellent choice of combat against those freaks.

These are my suggestions:

WEAPON CHANGES:

M16: swap the ACOG for an Aimpoint, why? So the red dot makes sense on the scope. Plus, since the M16 is the only fully tactical railed gun, I would add a flashlight so we can get light and shoot at the same time with this two handed rifle. Oh and remove all white writings on the gun and magazine, because thats tipical from an airsoft gun.

For all semi-auto pistols: Add a front sight dot, lol.

For all the shotguns: Add the rear sights.

For the MAC-10: The "aiming" of the gun is incorrect, so fix the aim.

WEAPON ADDITIONS:

Pistols:

We need to have a "hi-cap" .45 so i would add the Glock 21, its a fun and realistic choice for this game since a lot of law enforcement units and civvies use it.

As for another 9mm pistol I think maybe the S&W M&P9, XD9 or a SIG P226.

Rifles:

The AKM. As for this one i would make it full-auto (so we have the first full lenght full-auto rifle) and it would act as a counterpart of both the SMG because this one will be high powered but slow rate of fire. Also it would share bullets with the SKS.

The SCAR 16 (SCAR-L). I imagine this one as the semi-auto civvie variant of the rifle, and it would share mags with the M16.

The M1A SOCOM 16. This would act as the semi-auto counterpart of the actual sniper in the game (so basically in game this would be fitted with a scope). It would share the .308 ammo.

Shotgun:

As for another semi-auto shotgun: Benelli M4 Super 90. Again, Law enforcement and civvies can reach to it with ease so it makes sense.

Why does everybody want eleven thousand more handguns? I can imagine them adding 2-3 more handguns, but that's it.

I think because they are fun and from the realistic point of view there are many sources to get one in the zombie apocalypse situation and therefore you will be frequently seeing more pistols than anything else (well thats if we are just talking of firearms, because melee weapons are basically everywhere).

Because of variety, The current 2 pistols are already different on everything from firing speed to magazine capacity, I think some pistols with these stats played around with more would be nice.

4 pistols.

Colt, Beretta, Ruger, .357.

I can imagine them adding a Glock or something, but more pistols means more ammo types, which can complicate things, and I don't see the point of so many handguns just using 9mm bullets (like most handguns people have been suggesting). I'd rather see them cover more ends of the spectrum with other guns, not spend their time fiddling around with handguns. That's just me personally of course.

I know I'd like to see more effective melee weapons, not just filler ones (has anybody actually used the fire extinguisher?), like a pick-axe or a maul, something that can compete with the fire-axe and the mighty machete.

I think people (well... me atleast) are recommending 9mm or .45 pistols because maybe they don want to push the creators to create a whole new set of calibers just for a single gun and personally I think its awesome to have some variety on the same type of weapon caliber.

Still that doesnt mean I wouldnt love to see new calibers in game. Thats just my POV.

We have CZ 858 for next patch, we dont need AK.

I think there could be a few more melee weapons, such as tomahawks. Cold Steel do a lot of them, and they are a practical tool for survival and killing zombies. Also since you've put in the ability to throw weapons, tomahawks would be a great choice.

Just asking as im assuming its already been asked for but is a stub nosed magnum sound out of the question? Easy modelling(re model magnum a bit) and just reduce range and damage a bit as well as reduced magazine capacity.

Subnosed is planned tentatively for the future. More melee weapons and pistols planned.

How about some homemade guns such as a "Pipegun" which is a Breach Loaded Single Shot .308?

Probably better off firing a 12 Gauge Shot shell than a .308, Pipe guns are synounymous as being used as improvised shotguns.

I haven't been here for a hell lot of time. I thought that I may unbury my old suggestions again since there aren't many recent posts right now. Always some new (old) life...

Gas powered hammer drill. I know this is nonsesne, but come on! I am tired of chainsaws.

Gasoline-Hammer-Drill-PTGC26-.jpg

Some variant of R700. Used by police, military - not that unbelievable.

800px-M24-latrun-exhibition-1.jpg

A garden hoe. Very believable and you can certainly hurt someone with it.

450px-Hoe2.jpg

Smith & Wesson Model 10 Revolver - the most popular revolver ever. Colt 1911 of revolvers. Still used all over the world. .38 special is planned anyway for Colt Detective.

^ no

I'd love to see a G41 (H&K rifle like a G3, but feeds 5.56 from STANAGs), but it's probably a lot of work for not a lot of gain

PISTOLS: While having a wide variety of pistols is nice, there shouldn't be too many. Having more than one 9mm pistol that holds around 15 rounds seems like it could get redundant, even though I'd love to have a Glock 17 or a Browning Hi-Power in the game. The way I see it, the 92FS feels like it could be a higher-tier 9mm pistol, after all it holds 15+1. What I'm saying is that a survivor has a choice between a lighter 9mm pistol that holds less rounds, or the heavier 92FS which holds more. One could possibly consider an S&W M&P9 Compact or Glock 26? Let's move on.

I agree with ZSETI very much with his post on the Glock 21. It's an upper-tier .45 pistol. Speaking realistically, players would probably forfeit the 1911 for the Glock 21 not because of its magazine capacity, but of its weight. A fully loaded 1911 weighs more than a fully loaded Glock 21, if I remember correctly.

Onto .357, I know it's cliche as hell but hear me out: Desert Eagle chambered in .357. It would be a great upper-tier .357 handgun because it holds 9+1 compared to the 686's 6, no need to wait for the hammer to be cocked, and it's magazine fed for a quicker reload time. (I know the 686 uses a speedloader, shush.) The drawback is that it weighs more than the 686.

SHOTGUNS: The only thing I think is missing is a semiautomatic shotgun with an extended magazine tube, no need for any more shotguns after this. Could be overpowered, though. Benelli M4 or (cliche but hnnng I love it) SPAS-12?

OTHER WEAPONS: Perhaps an automatic TEC-9 as a the predecessor to the MP5? High rate of fire, but very inaccurate? I don't really have anything else to say besides adding a Mosin Nagant, but I know you guys really want to stray from adding more ammunition types to the game.
