Yeah the chainsaw has been in the game since beta 1 hehehe

I have yet to find one, so I must be extremely blind as a bat. Well, ignore the chainsaw then!

They are fairly rare, but if you find the small red fuel tanks with the yellow spouts, those are the ammo. The chainsaw is large, yellow and white Huskavarna style.

Ballistic Knives!

Ballistic knife sounds cool...but I would rather have a knife that I can A. Melee attack with and B.Throw (I mean throwing a knife....now THAT IS FUCKING AWESOME :P )

Now...just imagine that guy throwing that knife ;)

I'm still sticking by the Pool Noodles

Well, that is pretty funny, aha, almost as funny as the legendary purple dildo.

Even though I still love the addition of new game weaponry I'm contemplating what "else" could be added? I mean there is always the argument of variety in firearms, melee weapons are more basic somewhat as they are always one of three groups, they either smash, cut or penetrate.

Out of all the current NMRiH weapons, these are the only one's I really see making any kind of "fit" in the mod alongside their current lineup of weapons that are currently in-game. (new weapons are displayed in bold text with "*" without the quotation marks):

Melee

Fists

Fire Axe

Hatchet

Baseball Bat

Sledgehammer

Pipe Wrench

Lead Pipe

Spade

Crowbar

Machete

Meat Cleaver* - Used similar to a machete but much shorter reach

Folding Knife or Swiss Pen Knife* - It's been stated before because it would be impractical, however it's a Last Resort Weapon, one you'd sooner drop than stay equipped with.

Butcher Knife* - Large stainless steel blade, short reach, should only attack in a Stabbing animation (as slashes would be useless versus Zombies)

Combat Knife or Bayonet* - Military Styled Bowie Knife like the Marine Issue KaBar or the US Army Bayonet, attacks in a similar fashion to the Butcher Knife using stabs as opposed to slashes.

Chainsaw

Claw Hammer

Flashlight

Fire Extinguisher

Welder

Timber 2x4* - A length of Timber, small enough to carry and wield as a blunt weapon. Could also be used as

Pitchfork* - A farmers tool aid for Hay, acts more like a lunging weapon, one that can be used to stab opponents with a good reach.

Sickle* - Hand held sickle, could work on a rural or farm based map.

Brick* - Common variety red brick, can be used for a short reach clubbing weapon or as a thrown weapon that can be aimed and thrown like a grenade but requires a direct impact to do damage.

Bottle* - Same as the Brick but can "Broken" to become a cutting weapon or thrown at an opponent

Rock* - Garden variety rock, can be thrown or used as a melee weapon

Stick* - Garden variety wooden stick or tree branch, can be used as a rudimentary clubbing weapon

Improvised Spear* - Hastily constructed spear made out of a push broom and a Butcher Knife tied to the handle.

Improvised Flame Thrower* - Aerosol Can taped to a lighter used as a short reach flame-thrower

Screwdriver* - Used as an improvised stabbing weapon, possibly a unique Objective item

Ruger Mk. II* - While not currently in-game, it has been revealed that this is one of the planned weapons shown earlier in this thread

Hi-Point C9* - Something of a smaller capacity .9mm pistol, somewhat common but lacking in capacity compared to the M9.

Beretta M9

Glock 19* - Along with the Mk. II, this has also been slated for release.

Colt 1911 National Match

H&K USP* - An average USP in .45 ACP, as in one that is not used by Military Forces but sold as a civilian firearm but also a possibility of a military verssion added (Suppressed or equipped with a Flashlight)

S&W 686-6

Snub Nosed .357* - Some form of compact .357 revolver with a 5 shot capacity.

Beretta SV10 Perennia

Stoeger IGA Coach* - Double Barrel Shotgun with a side by side config

Sawn Off Shotgun* - Side by Side shotgun with it's stock and barrels sawn off to a more compact length

Winchester 1300* - A pump shotgun with a pistol grip, more compact over other shotguns but more recoil in exchange.

Remington 870 Express* - A more commercial variant over the standard Tactical 870, more of a Duck Hunting Gun, 5 shots, extra long barrel, extra tight spread

Remington 870

Mossberg 500

Winchester X3

Benelli M1014* - Military issue shotgun, one of the weapons that could be used by the Marine Deathsquad. 6 shots, semi-automatic.

Ruger 10/22

Bolt Action .22* - A Bolt Action .22 rifle, slightly higher capacity over the 10/22, more accurate possibly but slower to fire and reload.

.9mm Pistol Carbine* - A pistol caliber carbine rifle in .9mm, like the Beretta CX4 Storm, 15 rounds, slightly higher damage (one shot headshot) but larger size

Ruger Mini-14* - Civilian firearm firing the 5,56 round, 10-20 round capacity, possible scope or sight addition.

Simonov SKS

FAL/G3 Civilian Variant* - Some sort of high caliber, high quality semi-auto rifle for civilians based on the FAL or G3 design, 20 rounds, semi-automatic, high damage but rare

Mosin Nagant* - Bolt Action Rifle with an attached bayonet, I know that a Mosin may eventually be added as a slower more powerful counterpart to the SKS

Sako 85

Lever Action Rifle* - Classic lever action rifle possibly chambered in .22 LR or .357 Magnum.

M16A4

M4A1* - Military Issue Carbine Rifle, fully automatic 5,56 rifle with Red Dot Scope and attached Flashlight, should be used by the Marine Deathsquad

HK MP5A3

Ingram MAC-10* - Slated to be released in a future patch

M24 or M40* - Either of the two, used by US Army/National Guard (M24) or US Marines (M40), behaves similar to the civilian rifles but has a variable zoom scope

M14 DMR* - Semi-automatic rifle used by the Military, 20 rounds, high damage, outfitted with a short range scope.

Grenade Launcher as a Riot Gun* - Some form of Police of Military Grenade Launcher used as a riot weapon, could be used to shoot extremely rare explosive grenades or used as an oversized flare gun

Molotov Cocktail* - Slated for release in a future patch

Pipe Bomb* - Like a Hand Grenade, rare, takes longer to explode but dishes out more damage

Claymore Mine* - Should be a rare drop from the Marine Deathsquad NPC's once they're added, acts as a remote mine that explodes in a direction shooting a spray of shot like an oversized shotgun

Crossbow or Bow* - Possible addition and consideration due to number of suggestions relating to a crossbow or bow type weapon

Nailgun* - Some form of portable nail gun, extremely weak damage, poor accuracy and nails drop with distance. Greatly increases barricade speed however and carries a large number of nails with each "clip"

Add a district 9 rifle and put a downed alien ship in map.

Alien weapons in games that you wouldn't expect them in has NEVER been done before.

Ballistic Knives: I'm gonna keep throwing this idea out there. I love it too much.

Crossbow: Silent way of killing. Plus, using a crossbow would be kinda bad-ass. Can you image arrows sticking out of the head of a zombie, and pinning it a wall? Simply awesome.

Garden Hoe: If you think about it, this thing could be pretty devastating. It's got that end that could be pretty gnarly to be hit with. Plus, it would just be so satisfying hitting zombies with it.

massive list of weapons

Best list I've seen posted yet. A lot of these correspond with things I've drawn up to be planned but you also have many great additions and suggestions. Nice stuff!

More Weapon Suggestions

  • Torch - Would be a flaming piece of wood that would serve two purposes. To light dark places, and to hit zombies with a flaming bit of wood. Maybe even catch them on fire; but only if there wouldn't be massive lag spikes.
  • Frying Pan - You have to agree with me. The satisfying thunk of a frying pan against a zombie skull would be brilliant.
  • Pool Noodle - Yes, I'm suggesting this again. Randomly spawned, colorized, foam noodles that can hit zombies, and possibly even choke them out. Good times all around.
  • 2x4 with Nails - A classic zombie killing tool. A 2x4 with a bunch of nails in the end of it. Brutal, mean and effective.
  • Golf Club - Yet another classical weapon of killing the stinky undead. You could have a ton of fun with this. Who wouldn't want to yell "Fore!" while knocking off zombie heads?
  • Spiked Knuckles - Pretty much brass knuckles, but with spikes on the end.
  • Desert Eagle - Come on, I shouldn't have to entice anyone about the lethality, and sheer pleasure of killing zombies with this hand-cannon.
  • Female Pleasuring Device - For comedy purposes, but also a solid killing weapon. Look at how dangerous it was in Saints Row! Yes, I called it "Female Pleasure Device".
  • Boxing Gloves - Just because.

It's not always just for females.....

And I don't think they'd be powerful enough unless you used one from Bad Dragon.
