How fast will it take to finish a round or a level or whatever you may call it in NMRIH? I believe it was Maxx who said once that you find yourself role playing the game without trying. So I assume detail is payed attention to.

It is indeed true, but the length of a round and the minimum/maximum time for extraction are all set by the server host.

Awesome. Will there be a survival mode or something similar?

That is essentially what we have, although it you want the "onslaught" or "horde" style survival, you should probably go play L4D.

Though you could technically create a server and set the evacuation time limits absurdly high, therefore it would be quite similar to a survival mode.

L4D survival mode is a joke =/. You cant last long unless you sit up in a cheap spot using pistols and using your shotgun when tank comes. Now holding a farmhouse against hordes of slow undead bashing down barricades... that sounds like fun =)

Oh, I have L4D, and I've played it since it was released.

I was just asking what game types you had. I didn't say I enjoyed Survival Mode.

I didn't even mention Left 4 Dead, thousands of other games have Survival mode. I was thinking more of what snake said, or some sort of mode where it gave you 5 minutes to build and secure for the upcoming attack.

That would be epic, I never enjoyed L4D's survival mode. I didn't even enjoy the multiplayer to be honest. I replayed the No Mercy chapters over and over on single player using only a pistol to try to make it as realistic and role play-ish as possible. Sad, but that's what I enjoy.

No...I will not enjoy camping in a house for the entire map duration. I require a CYCLIC zombie game that is by no means linear only if its a Escape mission

Might want to put that in your OP post then. Anyways just my two cents but I will drool to,

+Huge ass maps

+Many accesible buildings

+Random Zombie spawns

With little linear gameplay. Now relating to your thread, I think rounds should last from fifteen to twenty five minutes, map durations that drag out will become boring eventully.

just an idea, but if someone joins a server just after a 25 minute game has begun, they have to wait 25 mins for the next round to start. Maybe there could be a way of people being able to spawn wherever the rest of the team is, like being rescued from a house and then joining the team.

Kind of, except with many more spawn points so it is more realistic than just spawning in one closet.

The realism factor depends on the amount of skins & models we have available :)

So people could be like

'Oh, another person to take the ammo that I want. Maybe I'll just... not... open that door.'

or alternately

'Oh, another set of helping hands; we're understaffed as it is. I will open this door.'

which might lead to

'Good evening, sucker. Thump.'

I don't see how L4D style closets could possibly work, except for playing with people you know. However, if the rule for NMRIH is that you get one spawn, period - then if someone joins the game late, it'd be fine if they just spawned wherever in the city - except that would make people just quit the server, then rejoin after they died. (Unless there's some clever way that can be circumvented.)

There is no teams, guys. Players do not start together. When someone joins mid-game, they spawn in a random location just like everyone else at the start did. The zombies in that area are deconstructed to make room for the player and to give them some breathing room to haul ass.

There's much better games out there for that sort of thing, or hell play a roleplaying game like allflesh.

I can't find anything like what I want, there are no non-text browser games that actually satisfy me.
