Rise Against

70 posts in this topic

Anyone else listen to the band. I love there lyrics, the lead singer has some political thing in his history and sings a lot about it. Its great music with lyrics that show at least someone knows what's going on in the world and what is needed to fix it.

Their stuff is sort of okay...'like the Angels' is probably my favourite but the whole 'Vegan, PETA supporters who learned about how the world is run by reading some kids opinion of it on the internet' thing is GAY

So you're not going to wear fur, leather, wool or silk.

And you're not going to eat anything that includes milk, eggs, or meat.

Have fun with that.

Animals are reflex machines incapable of feeling empathy for others and will never contribute to society or to the greater culture of man. They are not only useless, but are often obstructive and dangerous.

Oh that's totally incorrect man and you know it. Dolphins are VERY similar to humans. They are considered the second most intelligent species on Earth. I have pet cats and their attitudes, personalities and even their capacity for empathy astound me.

One time I saw a dog get hit by a car, and another dog literally burst out laughing. Makes me sick.

I got nothing against vegans (vegans who think everyone else has to live like that yes I have a problem with) I'm a Vegetarian myself...no particular reason, I don't do it to be better than anybody I just do it...and I'm not fond of the taste of meat in my mouth

I support some animal rights and I am against animal cruelty...but PETA is as fucked up as animal rights can be.

Fuck animal rights, fuck vegans.

Amen, brother. An animal which cannot reason or present a range of emotions more complex than a crayon box is not equivalent to humans. Plus, I love consuming other animals - it's just so rewarding. The taste of a perfectly seasoned, medium-rare steak, or of orgasmic pork ribs is enough in their own rights to keep me an omnivore. When one considers that it isn't more than preference to choose to eat or abstain from eating meat, I see no problem with this lifestyle. Too many vegans and vegetarians are too eager to proselytize for their little animal rights religion.
