I am a three time blackbelt, and my only "workout" for many many years was martial arts and tournaments...

Oh, and swimming. We have a big pool at my parents house :)

Swimming is a great workout if you have a pool or one near you.

Personally I don't like or do gyms, they make me uncomfortable and I don't enjoy paying for that kind of shit it starts to feel like a chore.

Martial arts was different, it was well worth the cash and you learn a lot. Been doing it most of my life.

Right now I'm running for about an hour a day, about 2 miles...

60 pushups in sets of 10

200 crunches in sets of 50

feels good but not nearly what my body was used to... guess I should diet or some shit... I'm going to miss Mt. Dew...

Did martial arts for the past 10 years or so.

Granted, the last 2 I've been at school. Only exercise I get is walking to school, and paintball once or twice a month -.-

I can't gain weight. I eat terribly and dont exercise much sometimes and I am still thin as hell.

But yeah, when I am in a phase of exercising I just run. Get some good music on your iPod and run. You sort of forget about being tired. And do it outside, not in a gym. Natural exercise is the best.

Also, join a sports team or something. I have a soccer team I play on that meets twice a week, and its fun and beneficial for my health.

And martial art is the biggest fraud in history.

Really? Because I did Kung Fu, Chikarijitsu, Jujitsu, Karate and MMA sparring. I have numerous medals and trophies from MMA tournaments :)

It used to be a biiiig thing in my life, everything revolved around it. Not some pussy white people martial arts. I'm talking hardcore stuffs.

Oh I forgot about my RCAC training stuffs. When I'd go up to CFB Borden and stuff. I used to be a master of sit-ups to the point where I would keep doing them until I got bored. The highest I got was almost 500 before I literally decided to go do something else.... I'm not like that anymore LOL

I can't gain weight. I eat terribly and dont exercise much sometimes and I am still thin as hell.

Me too!

Yeah.

As a person who's father owns his own martial arts school, I'll tell you right here and now that it's not 'fake' and a 'fraud'. I would bet my freedom that he could wipe the floor with pretty much anyone. That's the beauty of what we do, we do it all, and it's crazy effective. Aiki-Ninjitsu. Some of the best years of my life are from martial arts. And I can tell you another thing too, just by doing martial arts, a lot of people build up a good confidence about themselves.

I volleyball 2 times a week (training) and 1 match almost every Saturday.

Besides that I work, which is pretty tough ie. carrying heavy stuff up stairs which actually made me lose weight and gained more strength in the legs allready.

Have been doing 35-40 pushups every evening on work days for the past 3 to 4 months.

Fuck yes. You're my hero.

I'm not exactly... fat. I do have some, so-called, "extra baggage", but I'm constantly assured that it's my low self-esteem talking.

Regardless, I've been this weight forever. I could eat shitloads, or eat nothing, and my weight wouldn't budge an inch.

I'm really skinny and I'm happy. I just wish I was stronger. I'm not overly skinny. I'm actually my ideal weight or how my weight is suppose to be at my age and height.

I think it's better be skinny a be good looking that than fat and having an unattractive body because you're fat which makes me feel sad for those who are fat like my dad.

I tried Karate but It was rather annoying cos

A. we spent the first 3 lessons focusing on breathing- I know how to fucking breath, I have been doing it quite successfully for some time. I don't need instructions

B. The teacher was the most yorkshire Chinese man I have ever met..."nab 'im By T'leg"...he would exclaim, and with myself having a posh accent we couldn't really communicate.

I did Jujitsu and Kick Boxing and Cambo (which is kind of a mixture of Wrestling and Judo in its most basic forms) I also swim...and Don't eat.

I never said it was fake, but its a fraud like windows.

So your father could wipe the floor with anyone,by practicing art on them?

Ppl who practice martial arts build up their ego, nothing else.
