Hammer setup help

5 posts in this topic

Hi everyone so I have been using the Hammer editor through steam for NMRIH and today I have decided to use the standalone hammer editor, don't ask why cause I feel like it. The problem is that I don't know where to get the PAK files for the game configuration. By default the game directory is set to Half life I would like to switch it to NMRIH. If someone could help me that would be cool beans. Thanks <3

which hammer are you using mate? being honest your best just running the hammer ( that is standalone ) which is preconfigured for nmrih, all hammers now just run directly from the games/mod folder like cs etc and dod have there own hammers since the 2013 steam branching,

it can be found under your steam folder @ steamapps/common/nmrih/sdk/bin > hammer.exe

It's been forever since I set it up my first time so I can't help there but it's not a bad idea, assuming you can having the both the editor and game open at the same time unlike the nmrih launch hammer.

I achieve this by using Sandboxie.

You can do that though. Just remove nmrih\sdk\bin\steam_appid.txt and launch hammer.exe directly or through a shortcut.
