his build is based on the mid range build seen in April's PC Gamer magazine.

Only thing that's changed really is the graphics card.

I intend to overclock in the long run.

Going to be used for playing games, video editing, After effects, photoshop.etc

£900/$1250/€1150 and under (maybe a smidge over)

If it was me building this computer, I would upgrade to 16GB of RAM because RAM is so cheap these days and would not cost much more than 8GB. Games like Dying Light can use more than 8GB of memory which I checked using MSI Afterburner memory usage (9GB usage in some parts of the game) Also for video editing, Photoshop, map compiling etc.

Also, a 390 graphics card can be noisy, would opt for a GTX970 at least as more games support tend to support nVidia Gameworks and some relatively recent games like Batman Arkham Knight and Just Cause 3 have problems with AMD cards. I had to change from AMD to nVidia for Batman because I got a pure black screen when playing it.

I would also change the PSU from 600W to about 700W/750W if you are putting in a r9 390 and maybe a bigger SSD (about 200GB) Other than that, looks fine.

I'd recommend:

*More RAM, at least 16GB

*Faster HDD, 5400RPM is awfully slow for desktop

*Bigger SSD, 256GB would be roomier and a bit faster
