Chainsaws and Unloaded Weapons

5 posts in this topic

I was thinking that it would be neat if chainsaws had a different way of showing ammo instead of being like every other weapon, perhaps there could be some sort of gauge that shows your current fuel in the bottom right of the screen. I have had many frustrating moments where I die because I run out of gas and have no way of counting how long it will last.

Secondly I think that unloaded/empty weapons should glow orange instead of green/red that way stuff is easier to sort out and if you're in a tight situation you don't pick up a weapon expecting it to have ammo. Thanks for your consideration ^-^

Well, when l'm using a chainsaw, l only start it when l need a quick chopping in a crowded area. For example, in chinatown, you can find a chainsaw and.... 70-80 fuel for it, after each small chaining l press R right away, this will refuel and also show how much l got, or each time l turn of the engine l checkthe fuel. A lot of ppl sadly dont know, that even if you just let the engine run, it consumes fuel. Then again, and animation for the fuel check would be nice. Like.... shaking the chainsaw to listen to feel how much liquid is in it.

On the empty weapon marking, l agree with Atheist, and yea, l guess in both normal and nightmare mode, the items and picksups are glowing. But even in real life, or in zombie survival movie, people tend to check the weapons, since they dont know if its empty or not. In this game, if you pick up a gun, even in the inventroy it shows you if its empty, as in the background by the weapon is grey. Some weapon hold only a few bullets, and some are full, like in cabin, which has 2-3 fully loaded Berettas.

It just ads an extra X factor to the game, when you get screwed coz of an empty weapon XD

I'll keep that idea in-mind. I did want to make Saw ammochecks and reloads at one point.
