Call of Duty Advanced Warfare

if that video is a good representation of the entire game i'd have to say Prettiest Interactive Movie of the Year 2014 instead of Game of the year. "man i love how linear this map is" ...you do?

take the linearity of a nascar race track, add in the interactiveness of dragon's lair with a paint job that'd make michael bay wet and you get this "game".

I played through the entire game and you know what? It's actually not bad. It's actually pretty good. You know, not even for a Call of Duty game, but just in general. It has its cheese, it has its scripted dumb moments that you go "why are you making me press a button for this can't this just be part of the cutscene", some awkward transitions, and a lot of what I call "falling down" - where your character is, by script, immobilized by falling over/flipping over/getting knocked out/trapped under rubble/crippled and forcing you to do a thing or watch a thing for reasons.

But, overall, the game was a lot of fun and it was generally quite sound. No noticable bugs or issues, great art (especially for a CoD game), really nice dialogue writing and delivery coupled with some great character art and animation, wonderful sound work. It's a good game, and for the first time in a long time with a CoD game, I don't regret spending money on it.

I guess most importantly, I had fun while playing it, and never felt bored.

Did your character talk? It's nice when characters talk (outside of cutscenes.)

Do you get shot or stabbed and pull it out / shoot the bad guy in a slow-mo scene to end the game? Because that got really old after MW2. I did love CoD 4 though.
