Resident Evil REmake 2015

15 posts in this topic

Resident Evil REmake that came out and sold poorly due to a shit exclusive on a Pretendo console is being slightly altered and brought to PS3, PS4, 360, XBOne, and Windows in early 2015. RElive the TRUE survival horror and TRUE Resident Evil experience from back before the series went to complete SHIT of COD action packed garbage in 2004 and stayed that way till now. Hopefully Capcom is getting their shit together and will bring us RE2 REmake and RE3 REmake along with a REal Resident Evil in the seventh installment in the main series down the line.

Or they're running out of cash and are resorting to rereleases of old games to give them enough revenue to last the next few quarters lol

Least they're not remastering games that aren't even a year old.

Anywho, loved the original remaster on GC. So this RE Re-Remaster should be fun...as long is ain't £55

Am I the only one here who prefers that they make new things instead of constantly remaking this and HD-ing that in desperate attempts to breathe life into a (in my opinion) stale genre?

I think we need MORE remasters of games that came out a year ago, hell I think we should remaster games that were utter shit just to fill out the calendar...I mean fuck all is coming till October right? Or February 2015, or maybe we could delay both those months till 2016 that way we could remaster games that only came out few months ago.

If people want the same shit over and over lets give it to them!

We should remaster games before they have even come out and see if anyone notices! I'm gonna get Sony on the phone and see if we can get a remake of the remaster of The Last of Us...I know they'd love to advertise the fuck out of that! And I know Ubisoft would be up for doing a demastered version of Watch Dogs by September.

REREmake will hopefully show that we want survival horror and not COD crap like 4,5,6,REV, and ORC. A test and to fund further RE projects indeed. I'm buying it to show support for REal RE and not COD garbage. Just hope Shinji Mikami does what he does best with future work since he left. (The Evil Within sure doesn't look like survival horror, still looks like COD crap) so other works may still have a shot. REmake 2 was always in discussion at Capcom, just never did it, then fucked up with RE6 showing that we want RE and not something by Michael Bay and Paul Anderson who which should be hanged for their crimes of ruining once good franchises for practically a decade. At least Crapcom can't take all the blame with Operation Raccoon City; that was by the developers of SOCOM products. Crapcom didn't care because it sold well, the developers on the other hand took the reception hard.

They did have rumors going around that a worker from Metal Gear Solid was to direct the next Silent Hill which is truly horrifying right there.

A dead genre that was brutally slaughtered in 2004 is attempting to return from the grave. Hope is dim for it.

The thing is the Survival Horror genre never actually 'died' per se, it had to adapt to changing tastes since even by Resident Evil 3, the audience was starting to view the whole Isometric/tank control gameplay as becoming stale; RE4 brought back the excitement and turned the focus away from dabbling with rubix cubes to more immediate strategic choices (I only have 5 bullets, and there are 8 crazy people, I should shoot one of them in the knee and run)

RE4 in general I thought was a fantastic game, my only complaint was that there was too much ammo. 5 was when it got weird but I found it enjoyable, but would've liked it more if they nixed Sheva out and kept it all in the actual city (tribal black zombies = lol)

6 was just weird but I enjoyed it for what it was, it was a dumb fun co-op game

I found in 4,5 and even 6 that I was always either out of ammo for most guns or really close to it at least on the first playthrough. In 5 after I learned that I could boulder fuck people into submission as Chris or Stab as Sheva then bullets became a means to get people into the "fuck you" button prompt animations.

I would also like to profess my fondness for 5 and 6...whilst having the same shitty characters, dialogue and story that every other Resident Evil game has had, I have played them more than all the other games. Mainly due to the splitscreen story or the splitscreen arcade mode.

Resident Evil 5 was Street Fighter with a pre-fist-fight bullet every now and then really, and I only liked it up until the tribal marsh place. I liked it for the first 3rd of the game in the village, and I think that the ability to select what chapter to play and the ability to unlock infinite ammo kinda killed it for me (same can be said for RE6), because made shit too easy. Just collect a ton of ammo from 1-1, replay the level, collect more, repeat.

Resident Evil 6 was, well......I'm still not sure what the fuck I played even ~2 years later. Resident Evil 4 however, is definitely one of my favorite games evar. Could totally play that shit a hundred times in a row and still find every playthrough as enjoyable as my first. Yeah, some things irked me (carrying 350 bullets per TMP magazine, lolwut) but at the end of the day, still a fun game, and whether or not you wanna label it "CoD shit garbage", it was definitely one of the best games of the decade, and that's a universally agreed upon fact.

i'd like a really good remake of Silent Hill 1&2, RE 2&3...and final fantasy 2,3,7...and super mario rpg...and jesus christ, cuz i think he's due for a solid remastering.

but not like HD versions of the old art assets, i want all new art assets that carry the same juice as before, fix old bugs but keep the stories, gameplay where the enemies are the same unless you can improves shit with clever scripting and ai...but other than that do not fuck it it.

oh yeah....and make it for the PC so i don't have to buy some garbage ass consoles.

Resident Evil 4,5,6, and REV was babysitting missions. Co-op is not scary. Having to babysit a mentally challenged npc 'friendly' during the whole course of the game. RE4 killed it for me when you had to escort the bimbo typical modern useless daughter around throughout the entire game. 5 you had to watch Sheva's back. 6, depending on who you play as, was the same. Once they died. Game over. LAME! They also leaned WAY too much into COD. 6 especially. Sure Leon started out good, but then it went Michael Bay and Paul Anderson style. REREmake may hold the key to the return to the roots and not keep going towards the COD community. As Capcom admitted to doing. RE6 showed we didn't want that, they noticed the poor reception and sales, so of course they'll listen a bit better now.

Dude, she literally gets abducted like, 7 times. I'm pretty sure she's away from you in the game more than she's with you. And you just tell that bitch to hide in a dumpster if you feel like it.

And thankfully she only has two lines of dialogue "Leon!" and "Help!"

I don't get the bizarre hatred for 4 and 5...6 kinda yeah but it was still fun. But the first batch of Resident Evils weren't great or even good by any means. The story and gameplay are a rancid pile of horseshit, I don't get how Jill sandwiches, slutty spies in red dresses, the douche with the golden guns and Evyeel Rushyin bad guys are somehow superior to the Spanish midgets, Boulder fucking, WESKAH! and Brosident Evil of the latter games.

They're both shit, on different endearing levels mind, but shit none the less

oh yeah....and make it for the PC so i don't have to buy some garbage ass consoles.

WiiU exclusive confirmed...

Yeah, I agree Sick_Joe. I have never gotten into Silent Hill, yet it's a creepy game. It's like we're zombies feasting on Resident Evil. The entire gaming company needs to emulate going out of business to save a lot more money so the ycan think properly, because remaking a video game may look better, but may keep the gameplay same. I'd like to see more tactical uses for the players. Hell, even unlockable fighting moves! I dont' want to just see a remake of such great games... I never truly enjoyed besides watching the trailers for. Perhaps remakes for that or Silent Hill could introduce feelings for those people who've always felt like the actor/player could do more in a scary situation rather than shriek and run, or simply attack. How about ways to do anything you want, but it's still difficult to achieve? Should they become locked achievements or hidden achievements, like old school Mortal Kombat, where you have to find the secret moves in your controller.... / BRAIN 0_9 Scary, but almost true.

Directly on Resident Evil, because of the first movie of it, the games should feature a chance to upgrade yourself to Milla Jovovich, who at best, allows you to do a wall-kick and kick-combo like it's a 3rd person Mortal Kombat featuring Resident Evil in Adventure-mode. I'm kind of learning to do that in StarCraft. The shit is so nice, while I'm not good at it, but it's too awesome to talk about it. I need to be reborn to actually practice these ideas.

Edit/addition: The idea of remaking Resident Evil 2/3 should mean precisely that. I've seen the Resident Evil remake for GC and it was actually decent, but I never got the full pleasure of playing it probably because I wasn't really good at taking care of my personal life. In another sense, it means nothing to allow the shock of lightning pouring through the windows on the 2nd floor. I don't know if there were any architectural differences in its remake, but maybe there could be room for those in any more remakes. As stated about what a remake should be, it's remaking it, which may imply changing things up. Anytime I look at a map, or sometimes, I might make up a better way of creating it in my head, but that also takes effort.

It's important to take that into consideration, because the idea of playing Resident Evil 2 in Racoon City is based upon the idea of witnessing the worst form of biohazard of possible residential evil crisis. You might as well replace Racoon City with Gotham City on that statement, if you are thinking well about it. For example, when you are running from the zombies in the bastard city, you end up shutting a gate, closing off a majority of them, while still having to take care of zombies after the abridgement. This kind of thing could have happened at the park, and then taking a ride, another abrupt stop, and another ghetto way of moving through the city through windows and fences. In a way, that's kind of what happened, but you don't expect grown adults to have the mental stamina to put up with climbing gates. ... Perhaps that's a side of me people are rooting for defiling. When talking Resident Evil, you (spies) are cleary the zombies. In respectful considetaion of your existence, I am sorry YOU are in that place! :|

They should seriously rethink all of the ideas put into Resident Evil 1, 2, and 3 because any idea once had a first idea. As all ideas need another idea to compensate it's boring dark side, some ideas are simply neglected since they are too difficult to make ideas to add. With my free time and serious deviance against the zombies, this should be easy, with pay or no pay. That's kind of funny: seeing them remake games without considering these ideas based upon nature and perspectives, rather than centering it upon their god damn hard work, which is precisely the front, or Hive, of what's keeping them from doing better. Back to the point, the idea of Resident Evil 2's great atmosphere is that you actualize being a police officer who finds his way back to the police station through a evil residential perversion of finding one's way around town. Then, you may come across the most sickening perversions of life forms that hold your sins against you in the name and honor of everyone else who's fallen to their predated contrasts.

For hell, Willaim Birkin could still regain consciousness in his G-virus intake after each mutation, but it always ends up as a seductive transformation. Think about it: isn't it half possible that a scientist could self-guide the transformation, enabling him to find a way to speak words? HE IS the creator, after all. On the flip side, I absolutely agree that makes it sound like a gay cartoon, allowing him to speak. Immediately again, the scientist could conjure communication in many ways, even from actions or ripostes, the words Nemises of all Resident Evil games. Why mess that opportunity up by creating it exactly for what it once was? Every office could look a bit different, some rooms don't have to be abnormally large, unless the interiors are absolutely necessary. Even a secret library may work, as such people with so many secrets needing secret passage ways might need to completely hide all of their interests. Even if the remakes should have changes, that doesn't mean all the greatest ideas must go to them. Is it truly the Umbrella's interest at those times to invent a mutated soldier who can fire two guns at once and accurately? Perhaps it's easier to accomplish if the weapons were also engineered to reload themselves with only so much ammunition. That's fitting, but nearly silly. However, it's within my own nature to be a monster with two rifles just blasting your direction like a mavin mariachi. It's kind of iconic to be half-witted saint of akimbo rifles judging you as the enemy for no reason. That seems more fitting for a new Resident Evil.
