This probably won't be ready for Halloween, but I'm releasing it when it's done and pretty, rather than releasing it rushed and ugly. Don't fret though, even if it's not ready for Halloween, I'm still going to work just as hard to get it done even if it releases way out of season, like December or February, because Haunted House Attractions are year-round attractions, yo.

The mansion itself, not including props, textures, or i/o, is about 60% complete. Still have more rooms planned and how I'm connecting them.

Additionally, provided everything works out, you guys should be seeing a hefty amount of objective branching. Provided I keep my entity limits under control.

Two months and no update? Shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit.

Anyway, this project's still alive, I just burned myself out and hadn't even touched the map in a month, but starting to get back into the swing of things. As stated before, this will definitely not be ready for Halloween, but I'm continuing it regardless.

All areas pictured below are subject to change and unfinished (still need appropriate props, textures, geometry and such).

The Tea Room

The Office (or is it a study? I'm not sure, I've never lived in a 19th century haunted mansion) Ignore those hideous dark brown doo-hickies that are built into the wall, as I still need to make a texture that matches the rest of the room

And I made a new texture for the foyer, since the previous one was a bit too harsh on the eyes to be in such a large room. Foyer is still hella incomplete. Need a lot more details. Paintings, support beam-things, railings, various props, spider webs, decay, garbage, paint chipping, etc.

I've noticed that the more I add, my map seems to get darker every time I compile, which is kinda concerning since I still want it to be decently daylit outside.

could just be your imagination that, the only way it would really get darker in theory is models shadows darkening places, looking nice though keep it up :) need any help let me know mate

Oh, people are still commenting on this? Shit, didn't see the notifications. Yeah, I am still factually alive and making things. I took some time off from mapping and started a job, but I'm still interested in completing my shit. I've been working on a ton of custom assets, mostly textures and a wonderful selection of spooky paintings to really bring the place to life (er, death. Look all dead and creepy, yeah, that). Also some sounds to really drive home the point that there are in fact, restless spirits trapped within the walls that are all ominous and shit.

Also, no haunted mansion is complete without its cannibal kitchen.
