A Swedish Midsummer! (part 3)

Story:
Björn is dead and without going into details, let's just say he deserved it. It's been rumoured though that his research team at the hospital where he worked was close to finding a cure for the zombie disease. Sadly the results got dispersed as society crumbled. At his death bed Björn claimed to have the answer, and then he died with a smug grin on this face. Now you're at his house searching for clues, but so are a lot of other people. Who can you trust? Who is already infected and spreading the disease? Better be safe than sorry... KILL EVERYONE!!

Game mode: DEATHMATCH!

Features:
When there's only one player left, he will be declared a winner and the round will restart.
If there's only one player at start it will enter a "waiting for players" mode. When another player spawns the round is restarted.
If no winner has been declared within 3 minutes all dead players are respawned.

NOTICE!!!: This map is pointless unless the server has friendly fire enabled. I also recommend increasing the sv_friendly_fire_factor to 0.5.

Added a "waiting for players" game mode so that alone players aren't stuck in the endless win-restart loop.
Added respawn 15 seconds after round start for those with "lag".
Added some extra triggers for better handling of area portals.
Renamed the entities to make it easier for people to understand and copy the setup.

I don't mind if people modify the map or borrow elements/setups from me as long as you give me credit. All the entities for the deathmatch mode are out on the road + a trigger that covers the entire map. Copy those and you'll have your own deathmatch map.

I must say I've really enjoyed playing this map so far! So much more fun playing against real people than brainless zombies. And it's quite a lot of action! Matches often end within 1 minute. In worst case scenarios there's respawn after 3 min so the peace loving hippies that can't finish it is quickly taken care of. Please try it and tell me what you think!

I love that you are doing new map/ new idea but would it no be simpler to play some other fps game?

What I want as maps is a real kinda zombie survival no rounds just endless incoming zombies and survive 10 min. The map is for a mode im working on and obviously im running gun menu / unlimited ammo and more hp on the zombies.

No survival rounds and no chopper

Can you make a map is it possible?

No. I like this game!

What I want

Yes it's possible. Objective mode, OnObjectiveBegin ObjectiveCompleteTriggerExtraction After a delay of seconds 600. Then use lots of npc_template_maker with flag Infinite children. But you need npc_nmrih_runnerzombie, npc_nmrih_kidzombie and npc_nmrih_shamblerzombie entities with template flags, which can only be set with an old fgd. I have them already created on this map. You can download the vmf and copy the entities and it will work. If you need help you can add me on Steam. Same username as here.

That sounds kind of boring and extremely dumbed down to be honest. Why would you strip the survival gamemode of everything that makes it interesting?

Deathmatch with zombies however sounds like an interesting concept. Imagine an objective map where only one player can get evacuated!

I have been playing alot of zombie modes in cs 1.6, css and zombie escape wich I thought is really fun im just stealing the idea from that. But then you might ask why not just play the other games? There is alot of reasons I wanna contribute to this community/game its a really great community, alot of serious people wich make it easier to work with and there could be alot of ideas and gamemodes that could be added to this game + its a free to play game.

Nice to hear I was thinking of it is possible to create a kinda zombie escape map? Like hold here for 2 min then go to the next house hold for 5 min etc...

If this is part 3, where is part 2?

Part 2 will be a survival map based on the same house. Sadly I spent many hours trying to understand how to setup a survival map a long time ago without succeeding. I have not revisited this problem since then. I will probably try again at some point in the future.

such a great gamemode, it's sad that it is rare to see it in nmrih though. I ran a server for this once, people just left preferring coop.

Yeah. I am yet to see anyone else hosting a deathmatch server. It makes me sad. I thought deathmatch was amazingly fun, much more so than playing survival or objective against retarded zombies.

If you crash the server when playing this map please let me know what you did. I have a feeling molotov cocktails are the problem. I know it crashed one time when I threw one. But the other times it has crashed I don't know what the players did. I'm thinking of removing them, the molotov cocktails that is, not the players.

Well it probably the case. I had the same problem with my map and i didnt experience any crash since ive deleted the molotov cocktails.

Yeh i had that issue with molotov cocktails, server crashed each time.

Yup. Molotov cocktails suck. I removed them and haven't had any server crashes all day. That's a record! So I think the problem is solved now.

I love this map! I might not be entirely objective, but still. =) PVP is awesome. More PVP maps please!

I don't know. I haven't tested. But I'm not going to add them back in. They aren't very useful in pvp anyways.

I think this map needs faster respawning, otherwise it's very fun to play.

I tried 2 min respawn but then it was actually a bit hard to win if there weren't enough good players. If you were the only one killing you still could not win because there wasn't enough time to run around the map finding where the noobs where hiding. If there are 2-3 good players though, players that actually engage and don't hide away like the noobs tend to do, then the matches are usually very fast, 1-2 min, and you don't have to wait long for next round.
