Maglite

Started playing this about a month ago and I've been working my way through the achievements. After about 100 hours I've earned most of the melee achievements apart from the 1000 fist kills and the 250 maglite kills. My concern is with the maglite, its range is shorter than the characters punch and the maglite does about the same damage. I am finding it much easier to make kills with my fists than the maglite which shouldn't be the case considering the difference between the two achievements. Could you possibly alter the maglite so it is on par with the other tools like the wielder or claw-hammer?

I know of the melee swap out tactic, I've been trying it for some time to earn both achievements. Thanks for the secrets DrHammer those will help with getting the achievement much faster. Still, at the very least I think the maglite should have it's range extended and be able to perform one hit kills. In the same way that the other melee weapons and tools can do when they charged long enough.

Methinks the maglite uses the new melee system, where as the other tools use the old hitscan system source generally uses. The range may have something to do with the maglite's sorta wonky animation.

Of course, not a problem. And I'm pretty sure we can all agree that the maglight, as it stands now, is the worst melee weapon in the game.

I think the maglight should be more powerful because unless it is a mini maglight witch it isint those things arent light!

Well if its too decent the actual melee weapons start to become a bit redundant.

Maybe it would just have decent knockback but minimal damage? You are right that they are quite weighty.
