They're coming to get you Barbara! - WHY YOU NO GET JOKE!?!?

JUSTINRUNSTHESHOW+Y+U+NO+GET+THE+JOKE+an

I've just recently started playing NMRIH, and when I heard this quote I recognized it right off the bat. Other players however, did not get why the quote was put into the game, and it was mocked and made fun of, so I had to explain. Well for many of you who don't know why the Military refers to all of us as "Barbara" during survival maps here is the idea behind it. Basically, the quote "They're coming to get you Barbara!" is from a old movie called "The Night of the Living Dead" when Barbara is attacked by a 'strange man'.

Here is a video of the scene.

Hopefully now some of you will understand the concept behind it, and you'll get to act like a 'cool-kid' when you tell others about it too.

I think the 1991 version was overall better. (and that quote was in the remake as well) And the quote was probably added to the game being isolated and notld levels were based off/influenced by the farmhouse in the movie.

Yeah, I love the classic 1968 (or 1969) one, but the remake just seemed to have a more looming sense of dread and urgency.

I'll have to agree with this as well. While I havent seen the whole original movie, only parts of it, the remake was the first one i've seen and i loved it back then. I've just re-watched it 2 days ago, becouse i've started playing NMRIH and recognised this quote in the game off the bat too :D The movie still rocks; after Night of the living dead i've also watched the 2004 remake of Dawn of the dead, which kind of gives a referrance to the Northway Mall map in my opinion.

Next we probably need the military to sing "Down with the sickness" for a whole round.

*6 National Guards get to their radio and start singing*

"BABABADJADLALA DOWN WITH THE SICKNESS NDAWDBHAYWGYAFHSEASEFA"

*Screaming is heard from the survivior's side and moans*

"BARBABR DOWN WITH-Oh, Oh Shit...."
