Development Update June 2013

Sorry but I don't see anything new in this vid. But some ancient issues are still there - the survivors animations are still the same, the zombies are standing still near doors/windows as always, the glitch where you stuck in the planks after barricading is still present. But the map is awesome though. I would love to play it in ZPS.

The first versions of our own custom player animations are finished. They need to be coded in the game however and may not make it into the initial release since the crash bug is top priority.

Also

  • Steam build's generally a week or more behind the private dev build in terms of content
  • We know about the zombies standing still by doors/windows that are barricaded, they're missing some stuff; that can be easily fixed but we're placing more focus on making the game stable for both clients and linux servers (Ragdoll crash bug is one of the primary reasons we haven't released 1.07)
  • We have another news post planned to explain what's in and not in for version 1.07, that'll come whenever Dman757 has some time (crazy guy takes summer classes)

NotLD is honestly my favorite map, every single time I load up the game with friends, we play notld. It's gorgeous, it plays and runs well, and did I mention it's gorgeous?

Eh, it's lost the hype for me.

About comparable to HL3 in terms of hype, you'll just wait for it when it comes, not really a big deal anymore.
