  2. I'ts been 4 years in the making, it's finally in the final stages. Penitentiary. It started as a test, as I spent more time and positive feedback I decided to put blood, sweat and, tears into making this. I am finally ready to begin showing off screenshots, footage, and more. Some important stuff before you scroll down below - This map was inspired somewhat by The Walking Dead prison, however I wanted to do my own take on it (you will see some references towards that statement.) There's not much of a story to be told, you can see what events happened as you make way through the inside, and outside the penitentiary. Just know, some HORRIBLE shit went down in here.. - You can expect this map to be two parts, this map was so massive hammer sdk no longer would handle a complete compile. I simply had THAT MUCH going on, I did try to simplify it but then it took away from the atmosphere. So I guess two maps are better then one yeah? As you progress through this hell hole, it will get harder. There are side objectives to obtain some extra weaponry and help, like finding the keys for a small locker room or fixing an outage of the electricity to see everything easier again. However those won't get you far as teamwork will be absolutely the only way to win, especially...the finale objective...;) Here's the first video and update of the map, back in 2016. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iE2CytM6uL8 Now 2 years have passed, and this is the newest teaser. Note that is current build, also note objectives are hidden and this is just the very front of the map.   3. Is there a way to always have zombies spawn? ex: if max spawn is 110 zombies, when one dies another spawns immediately to always keep 110 on map. Thanks, S.H.
  4. Quick Notice: Okay so, I am really sorry for not being here and delivering the goods. I hope you all will understand some urgent things (family emergency) happened and its been taking some time off my hands. Its okay now though as everything is back to normal. The Map: No countdown anymore, as I have had things pop up time and time again. All you need to know is that there's going to be a new official post sometime soon on here. I would say anytime between a month to October.. And yes this time it actually will be sometime soon, because the objectives are finally done and vamped up. I am adding easter eggs, fixing any details, final optimizations, proper weapon randomization and zombie outputs. Then its ready! Looking forward to you all playing the map soon. - S.H
  5. Trailer coming sometime tonight or tomorrow, had a huge corrupt error occur where it would crash upon starting. Apparently had to many entities and objects named the same. I am excited to finally show it off to the ones who are eagerly awaiting the update. And also wanted to thank all the people for testing, leaving feedback, and much more. Much <3 for you all and this game.

  7. Just wanted to throw in my 2 cents about KF2 really quick. One of the best god dam squeals to a game I have played in a very long time. Already lvl 6 commando, loving the new leveling system in the game. One complaint, not all perks/weapons in the game and only 3 maps. But to make up for that, the source SDK is already released for custom made maps. Tripwire is a very honest/reliable company so the new perks and weapons and official maps will be coming very soon. I threw my money at the screen, and was not disappointed. 10/10 If anyone would like to play, Sergeant Hatred is the name.
  8. I think lasers are a must imo. Reason being is that a few select weapons can easily have laser sights already installed into them. It doesn't need to be a big bulky laser, it can be an easy small tactical laser. Shown here. I own a few of these for my firearms. They are great and very low profile. These can be purchased at gun shops or Walmart even. So its not like they are realistically hard to find. Lasers don't work with everyone, personally for me I sometimes aim with my index finger with pistols. To me the laser is my index finger if properly placed. Also allows hip-firing for certain firearms to be a bit easier as I have my friendly little red or green dot aimed on the target without well, aiming down sights. I like this thread and all the recommendations in it. Personally I believe there should be some of these but some are also just really rare. Regardless, I also understand its not like you can just copy and paste a new glock with a laser on it. It takes time to model but mostly animate it. - S.H

  11. Update Time. The map is getting very close to public release. It has gone through 5 different phases and its on its final version. A whole shit ton has been re-done and re-made, the map looks better and plays way better. One of biggest things that I wanted to do was take the feedback provided to me and apply it to map, which has be done. Now I am just re-visiting all the areas and glitch proofing and re-lighting, just doing revisions to areas. There will be screenshots and a video soon. It has taken me awhile to get responding on here due to full time job and the usual adult responsibilities. I apologize for that. I have taken much time to prepare this map in the way I envisioned it, and its finally starting to come together. Expect within the next 2 months or less for it to be out, I hope that 1.0.9 will be released by then so it will be out for nightmare mode and the crawlers. So let the hype begin but, be ready because I have made this map 3x harder then what it was even on normal. - S.H
  12. Well, the thing is it is possible. Bigger bullets with a strong impact can actually ignite the grenade. The metal inside a grenade is ignitable, and with the pressure rising it explodes. If you where to use a handgun with 9mm for example, there's about no way you could as the bullet wouldn't be big enough or probably cause enough heat to even begin the chemical reaction. Most likely, they will not even with high calibers will this not work always. But it very well is possible. So basically, it can happen but a VERY rare chance if not very proper bullet placement with the right type of gun/bullet. While I don't expect this to be implemented, which is fine its just an suggestion. The idea behind this anyways is to create more ideas on how to make nightmare mode even scarier and more brutal. Nightmare mode is great but its going to take more then higher infection rates, more zombies to make it truly feel like a nightmare. Thinking that any moment you could possibly fuck up and cause an unintended explosion is just one way that could not only bring excitement, but true "oh fuck" moments to NMRIH which is drastically needed sometimes.
  13. Yes I got this idea from the walking dead. Yes it would make the national guard zombies just as dangerous and more. Not all the NG zombies would have it. You choose to kill it by default and loot the grenade off its body, or shoot the grenade and blow it up among its fellow flesh eating allies. It would also be a big risk to your teammates and yourself if not visually being careful or mindlessly spraying/praying. But then again you could just kill the dam thing by taking out its brain which is ideal. Little things like this make sure the team you play with are always being cautious for not only tougher armored zombies, but potentially a walking exploding hazard that could also be a great way clear a group of zombies. I would only do this for Nightmare mode as only the more advanced players will be playing it. Another way to kill some undead bastards as well. What do you all think? - S.H
