  1. Awesome. A Jungle Carbine would be fairly unique, don't think i've ever seen one in a game, not to mention they're quite aesthetically pleasing. I'm actually quite fond of bolt action carbines, very maneuverable and easy to aquire targets with: Columbian mausers (tend to be re-chambered in 30-06) are also fairly cool rifles, and although you see mauser 98's quite frequently in games, you don't tend to see these. A powerful bolt action possibly with a bayonet attatched would be a good addition to NMRIH.
  2. Mosins are quite common-place in games and as I say these aren't museum pieces or anything. Seeing as they opted for a VZ.58 over any AK variant, a jungle carbine would also be something a bit different and a nice addition. As for the ammo, everyone loves .303 'British' don't they?
  3. I find those Ishapore's look a bit weird, i'd much prefer a Jungle carbine: Handy, pointable, accurate and capable of having a bayonet mounted to it. They're not particularly rare so would be a plausible addition.
  4. Enough with these veiled threats toward Canada YOU WILL NEVER TAKE HER, SHE'S GOT MOVES.
  5. If you could wrangle the Source engine so that bladed weapons had a chance of getting stuck in Zombies when thrown at them, that would be a nice touch. I haven't played NMRIH in a while, but I think some of the weapons (namely the Chainsaw) just went through Zombies when thrown at them last time I played/dicked around with the throw feature, but maybe I was just tossing it at them so it didn't register or something.
  6. THe Governor, more like the Cunvernor, ahahahahahah ahahahahahahha hahahahahahahahahahahahaha ahahahahahahha Yeh, the Walking Dead season 3 was fairly lacklustre. Also, if this is a survival map, gigantic spaces filled with Zombies isn't a good idea so I hear.
  7. MAXX AND HIS EVIL CANADIAN WEED. Bastard. http://www.nydailynews.com/news/politics/official-u-s-conspiracy-mexico-invade-canada-article-1.1162805 http://www.damninteresting.com/americas-secret-plan-to-invade-canada/ Sick_Joe Secretly wants to invade Canada, watch your back.
  8. I imagine some people here played Insurgency the HL2 total conversion mod. http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2012/08/08/first-on-rps-eight-minutes-of-insurgency-2/ Newest gameplay video: Kickstarter video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2gpvkWnHgjA New world interactive as their now known, are making a seqeul. I was quite impressed by some of the sound-work especially in regard to incoming fire (sonic cracks etc seemed quite intense).
  9. Be hunted through procedurally generated British styled landscapes: (There's a better trailer showing gameplay in these links) http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2012/11/02/sir-you-are-being-kickstarted/ http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1499900830/sir-you-are-being-hunted I don't know why, but I kind of like the aesthetic of this and the premise behind the game sounds like it could potentially be fun. My main concern is that if thy can't get the AI right (That's who's hunting you) it could wind up being shit.
  10. Yeh, my thoughts exactly. I hope they will, but it looks as though they're sticking with the houses as 'inventory' boxes thing, hopefully they'll add exploreable buildings in the future.
  11. They're also taking pre-orders now which will grant you access to the beta some time in the summer or something. http://www.big-robot.com/2013/04/15/big-robot-is-pleased-to-announced-pre-orders-of-sir-you-are-being-hunted-via-humble-store/
  12. That's why. It seems to be doing ok now, but I really wish they'd reached their kickstarter goal.
  13. Oh yeh, I completely forgot about the red shotgun, probably because it's engrained in me not to use it as it's so bad.
  14. I'd probably say the Winchester, there's just something about it's general feel I don't like, combined with the slow reload and innaccuracy. I don't hate it or anything, but if i had to choose, it'd be that. The Revolver would probably be a second, but that's mainly because your character instantly pulls the hammer back every time you take a shot with the sights up, if manual bolting gets put in and is applied to the Revolver (or it was cocked faster), i'd probably find it more useful. Do tell.
  15. Would be cool if you did something with the elevators, even if it was optional and not objective related, like some kind of small puzzle that'd get you weapons (Doors slightly ajar/stopped to high to get into, weapons ammo and items visible inside) could even make it so that players have limited time to get the items once inside, like the elevator falling down the shaft shortly after one enters. (Hope you get what i'm trying to convey) Like, go into the right one and climb out into the shaft through the top and either: cut the wire of the left with a welder, it brakes and stops so it's enterable either on the same floor, or maybe the one below (which could be filled with Zombies, limited time to get in and get out before it falls). Or the same routine but the player just presses the button once inside, elevator travels to floor below, opens to a place full of Zombies. Kind of like this but in reverse:
  16. Thanks cool Riley.
  17. Rename this map Deadelation.
  18. Not Cutty, Dennis, Dennis wise man. But if you are going to add a new character, make it Carl Weathers:
  19. What if said rewards/veterancy were more geared towards succesfully completing campaigns instead of just Zombies killed or whatever. And I do mean purely cosmetic, no 'gameplay' perks, just your character model becoming more of a 'grizzled' survvior as you progress. Though even something as small as having a backpack or something for a little extra storage space wouldn't throw things off kilter in my opinion.
  20. 21. What already looks set to be the greatest Source-mod ever made: Jaykin' bacon: http://www.moddb.com/mods/jaykin-bacon-episode-three A giant Chewbacca with a Dildo attatched to a drill, GOTY material brewing here.
  22. A 'Civy' Gordon Freeman maybe, but please don't go adding any of the L4D series' characters.
  23. Dat MaxX HeE OlD SkoOlLl.... I wouldn't really want perks or anything, but something like RO2's veterancy system would be cool i.e cosmetic tweaks to your character the more stuff you do in game. But seeing as it's a Source-mod it'd probably be un-doable or too much effort.
  24. I thought this was fairly cool. He isn't using an Occulus rift but something else, and it's a Doom 3 map (I think): http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2013/04/05/the-awesomeness-of-head-mounted-displays/ http://doc-ok.org/?p=525 I don't know how successful these will be, but the novelty of seeing your body in-game with that mirage like 90's VR style is surely reason enough to try it once.
  25. I've played it briefly and was a bit underwhelmed, though there are some cool things they've done with source (like attempting to make the environment more dynamic than in other source games/rolling and stuff). Also, the dogs are incredibly annoying.
