  5. Yeah i first wanted to put some objectives around them, then didn't realize it probably wouldn't have worked the way i wanted it to work and the map was probably perfect the way it was. I wanted to do other things, but i'm kinda done with this map as i need to move on. My main reasoning is to have a lower grid size. Maps like surreal, parish and despair have been test maps and i hope to put out less off these in the near distant future and learn some nice things. Also yeah, i guess 66 seconds might be long, but i'm glad i got it added and working. Really makes me happy that the zombie spawns are working and could be working properly for a next build / revamp. On a sidenote the 1 unit sized grid is very very annoying to work with and i hope to get a better working ethique.

  7. I'm not sure what it is, but i think the lighting looks slightly off in the gun store. I think it mainly has to do with the fact that you use a light texture on a light lighting pattern, which makes the room look a lot lighter than the previous one. That's about the only real remark i could give based on these comparative screenshots. I think the other areas look a lot better (less clean). Eventhough the old one has a lot of feel to it, you can definitely tell that having more small details (but not to much) makes the level look a lot less lived out and i like that. It might be helpful to add in some displacements though, to make it look like it's more lived out. If you have any questions feel free to type them out.
  8. You should include some more screenshots or some comparison shots of the old one. Being a non clingy nms scrub, i wouldn't even know what changed. If you include some old - new shots that would be dope in preferably an imgur album.

  10. Ah thanks for the heads up, i'm gonna look to change some stuff once i have the proper time to do so. I'll try to make it a little bit more easygoing in the next version, i didn't envision this map to be taken that serious though. In general they're just some left overs, but i'll try to add one last area to smirk it all up a bit and make the map a little bit more wholesome overall. I'm glad you liked it though. I'll also keep the medical supplies in mind for next update. I really appreciate the given feedback, thanks =).

  16. Eh i decided to finish some old stuff i worked on a very long time ago, because i felt like getting out.   17. Some objectives take more than 5 minutes to complete, so it's not a good suggestion. There was a speedrun mode and some maps have objectives that could even take up to 9 minutes, reliant on the other players

I also wanted to add, that making maps that are connected to eachother limit the creativity and you are bound to one concept, so that's also one of the reasons why it's not so common for nmrih mappers to do that. There is one custom line of maps (those are ported), but still. the series is called gmi hunt and they all have the same kind of concept and are somewhat linked to eachother.

  24. https://ak9.picdn.net/shutterstock/videos/33783769/thumb/12.jpg?i10c=img.resize(height:160) Backstory of the map, the map is based in the underworld, you access the underworld by going through an eerie graveyard that's roughly located around the United Kingdom and Ireland In order to restore the wishes of the underworld, you'll have to destroy the stones that are located inside the catacombs of the dark and eerie necropolis structure. That's about it, oh and there's a boss fight (spawning in flare guns and molotovs will slay the user immediately).

So i recently got very frustrated with how my workflow went and i kinda put parish and abandonment on hold for the moment, because i'm very annoyed with the fact that i'm still working on a 1 unit grid size and it's giving me nightmares. So i decided to do some unorthodox stuff and started creating a new project which focuses on my so dear called project of creating a catacombs skeleton kind of necropolis thingey. I'm trying to get some progress on this one and i'll try to get Shelter updated for next patch by April. At the moment i'm kinda suffering from a slight mapping / school burn out, oh well not so important, but it's definitely working on me in some way. https://imgur.com/a/8WCN7
